Shades of Pride

This one-day celebration is a bold and unapologetic exploration of the multifaceted brilliance of Black queer identity. Rooted in resilience, creativity, and community, “No Shade, All Power” honors the journeys of Black queer individuals—past, present, and future. Through immersive experiences such as a vibrant cocktail hour showcasing Black artistry, a powerful panel unpacking sexual health and the urgent realities of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, and a breathtaking ballroom demonstration by the Central Florida Ballroom Collective, this event weaves together empowerment and expression. Enjoy a featured performance by the 2024 Mx St. Pete Pride Court—Amari Lavish, Kiala Santi, Justine B. Knights, and Vivion Rachel Harris Clarke—each bringing their unique brilliance to the stage. The event also includes a live taping of Phag Tawlk with TS Madison and Craig “The Writer” Stewart, offering unfiltered conversation, cultural commentary, and raw Black queer truth. Plus, prepare to laugh out loud with a standout comedy set by Akeem Woods, whose sharp wit and storytelling will leave you inspired and entertained. Cultural food and a cash bar will be served to accompany your journey through the Black queer experience. The day crescendos with a high-energy party where the beats, vibes, and moves reflect the limitless potential of Black queer joy. “No Shade, All Power” invites attendees to celebrate their truth, stand in their power, and amplify the voices that push the culture forward.
