September Acrylics (4 sessions) Raoul Dufy- Line, Rhythm, & Joyful Color

4-Week Acrylic Class (Sep, 2,9,16,23) Wednesdays at 10am. Learning from the Masters. Make-up classes available on Thursdays. In this four-week acrylic painting class, students will study the joyful, decorative style of Raoul Dufy. This class emphasizes playful line work, rhythmic composition, and expressive color. Students will begin by reproducing a Dufy-inspired piece to understand his use of line and movement. In the final weeks, students will create an original painting focusing on rhythm, pattern, and color harmony. This class is perfect for artists looking to relax, experiment, and rediscover joy in painting. What You’ll Learn: Loose, expressive line work Rhythm and movement in composition Decorative color choices Balancing line and color Supply List (Required): Acrylic paints (intermediate to professional grade only) Must include Burnt Umber and Yellow Ochre Brushes: Large, medium, and small round and flat brushes Canvas: 11×14 canvas board or stretched canvas All other supplies are provided. Paint Quality Note: Recommended acrylic paint brands: Winsor & Newton, Grumbacher, or Golden. Intermediate to professional grade paints are required. Beginner or student-grade paints are not recommended, as paint quality makes a significant difference in results.
