Rules Prop / Weapons Policy All Alaska Statutes and Anchorage Municipal Code of Ordinances regarding possessing and/or concealing weapons are to be observed and enforced while attending the event. Any real guns are not permitted at any time during the convention. Further, all weapons and weapon-like items brought to the event must be fake and part of the attendee’s costume. As per Egan Center weapons policy, live steel (such as katanas) are allowed on premise, but need to be in the sheath at all times. Live steel within this code of conduct is defined as any prop weapon that uses steal opposed to wood, foam, etc. Gun replicas made of wood, plastic, or metal must have an orange tip. Prop weapons such as plastic kunai or wooden swords must be peace-bonded upon entry. Peacebonding signifies that you will not draw the weapon (except in the case of posing or a photo), nor use it in any way that could be unsafe or threatening to other attendees. All prop / weapons must not be on and/or near the dance floor or during the event. If an inappropriate weapon is brought to the event, the attendee will be asked to take the prop / weapon back to their vehicle. Failing to follow the guidelines set forth by the event’s policy may result in your removal from the Egan and possible legal action. Mask Policy All masks shall be removed upon receiving/purchasing entrance into the convention. No loose glitter or feathers are allowed in the convention center. You are allowed to wear a mask at any other time during the event. However, ASM Global Security and Senshi Staff may require the removal of your mask during the dance for safety and security. Failure to comply with this policy may result in your denial or removal from the event.
