Get ready for a vibrant infusion of art, music, and community spirit in Downtown Farmingdale! The launch of "Second Sundays," a new monthly event dedicated to showcasing local artists, artisans, makers, musicians, and poets, promises to transform the village into a thriving arts destination. Building on the success of its annual "Art Crawl" event, "Second Sundays" will occur on the second Sunday of every month. The initiative aims to foster a deeper connection to the arts and provide a platform for the Tri-state area's talented creatives. This program underscores a commitment to driving positive socioeconomic change within the community. "Second Sundays" is made possible through the generous support of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, Farmingdale BID, and additional private sponsors. Mark your calendars for the inaugural "Second Sundays" event on June 9th, 2024.

We welcome you to 'SECOND SUNDAYS' hosted in Downtown Farmingdale every Second Sunday of 2024 starting June 9th, 2024! 
 
Mission + Vision: Our mission for ‘Second Sundays’ is to transform Farmingdale into a vibrant arts hub, celebrating creativity and fostering community connection through accessible and engaging artistic experiences. It is meant to empower artists and creators by providing a recurring platform to showcase their talents, connect with audiences, and contribute to a thriving cultural landscape in Farmingdale.
 
While we envision 'Second Sundays' to be recognized as a premier platform for emerging and established artists in the region, fostering a sustainable and supportive creative ecosystem within Farmingdale.While positioning Farmingdale as a must-visit arts and culture destination, driving economic growth for local businesses and the overall vibrancy of the community.

LOCATION: FARMINGDALE MAIN STREET - HUB LOCATION WILL BE AT THE NUTTY IRISHMAN

RAIN DATE: Event series will not hold rain dates as it consistent for the next 8 months. Vendors are able to transfer their participation fee to any other month in the 'Second Sunday' event calendar.
 
Farmingdale Village will implement a partial closure of Main Street by suspending street parking during our event hours. This measure is designed to provide additional space on the sidewalks, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.
 
Please note that all event dates are operating during the original scheduled times of 12-4PM. 
 
ONLY SELECT THE DATES THAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO PARTICIPATE IN AND YOU CAN ADJUST THE QUANTITY AT CHECKOUT. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT VENDOR FEE IS PER DAY AND WILL BE ADJUSTED IF MULTIPLE DATES ARE SELECTED.

Vendor Space: Each artist will receive a space that measures 6FT wide x 4FT in depth. Vendor spaces will be curated throughout Main Street in front of participating businesses. Locations will be decided internally and vendors will not be able to change spaces during the event. 
 
What's included with your vendor fee?
  • One 6-foot folding table and two foldable chairs
  • Commemorative event lanyard
  • Personalized digital flyers for promotional purposes
  • 2-3 personal professional event photos
  • Prioritized customer service
  • This event does not provide electricity, wifi hotspots, or tent options for vendors.
As an independent for-profit business, your vendor fee also contributes to the support of:
  • Staffing
  • Independent musicians
  • Media coverage
  • Community-wide marketing efforts
  • Advocacy for the Arts & Culture sector
  • Independent public arts projects
Colored Colors does not receive any state or county funding for our programs. Your support goes a long way and allows us to foster inclusive and innovative Arts & Culture programs within our communities. 
 
Is my application accepted right away?
 
All applications will be reviewed within 24 hours of receipt. Your card will only be charged if your application is approved, and there is no fee for submitting an application. Upon acceptance, you will receive an email notification containing further details about the event.
 
PLEASE NOTE: All communication will be conducted through EVENTENY. We recommend downloading the mobile application if you haven't already.
 
The following factors will automatically trigger a rejection for your application:
  • Vendor no-shows to prior Colored Colors events
  • Rude or negative communication with our staff
  • Issued a chargeback to our accounts
