About the event
The Reading Pride LGBTQ+ Pride festival is the oldest and largest festival of its kind in the area celebrating its 17th anniversary this year and continuing to grow. Last year's festival was the largest ever, with over 5,000 attendees, 150 vendors, 15 food trucks, and 30 performers, and this year will be even larger. The 2023 festival will feature two stages, a Pride Kids Area, a Teen Space, a Sober Space, and much more. This festival is not one to be missed. Vendor applications go live on January 1st, 2023. Sponsors, vendors, and entertainers interested in performing are encouraged to complete the applications early. There are many sponsorship opportunities, but if you don't see one that suits your needs, please feel free to reach out. We will be pleased to discuss options. Vendors are encouraged to take a look at our Berks LGBTQ+ Alliance site, and consider membership as members receive discounted vendor fees. . Please help make this years festival better than ever. Each year our festival is staffed and made possible by volunteers like you. please take a look at the opportunities and shifts and sign up where you can help. Volunteers attend the festival free of charge and can earn free entrance to the afterparty for helping with tear down. Lunch and soft drinks are provided. Set up shift begins at 7am, most others are 10:30-2:30 & 2:30-6:30. Tear down ship goes from 6-8:30pm, and after party shifts run between 6pm & 11pm. When you beging your registration, all shifts and departments will be visible. Please sign up for the departments and shift that interest you. Our Volunteer chair will reach out with confirmations.

Are you interested in perfoming at the 2023 pride festival? Let us know. Please complete the application and send us your contact info along with information about your performances, and any video links you'd like to share. Please confirm your availabilty, and fee. 

 

We are always looking to highlight local lgbtq talent. Drag Queens & Kings, musicians, poets, magic acts, arial, circus,  all are welcome to apply. If you act doesnt fit in this catergory, it doesnt mean you cant perform, just reach out to us. Please remember this is a family friendly event and consider that when applying. 

 

The 2023 festival will have two stages, the main stage and accoustic stage. The entertainment committee will review all applications and once selected to perform, they will reach out to confirm performance details.

Terms & Conditions
Tickets are non refundable. With security in mind there will be a no bag / no weapons policy. All attendees must enter through the admission booths. Exceptions can be made to the no bag policy for medically needed items, or items needed to tend to children, but will be subject to random search. If you must carry a bag, we would suggest a clear bag where items can be inspected easily. No outside alchoholic drinks permitted. The festival is "Smoke Free" which includes vaping. There will however be designated smoking areas in limited areas of the park. See festival map for locations. Children under the age of 12 are free but must attend with a paying adult. Childrens tickets must be claimed using the children ticket link, as everyone must have a ticket.
