Rain Garden & Rain Barrel Workshop

April showers bring May flowers AND our annual partnered Rain Garden & Rain Barrel Workshop with the Elkhart County Soil & Water Conservation District! Join Elkhart County SWCD at the EEC on Friday, May 29th, from 3 PM - 6 PM, to learn how YOU can install and maintain rain gardens & rain barrels in your own backyard to help conserve water. ECSWCD will be leading a presentation about the benefits of rain barrels and rain gardens from 3 PM - 4 PM. Then, we will be giving out rain barrel kits to those that have purchased them from 4 PM - 6 PM. Attending the information session from 3 PM - 4 PM is a requirement for the Rain Garden & Rain Barrel Reimbursement program through the ECSWCD; it is open to the public as well. Registration is $50, which includes the cost of the rain barrel kit. Advance registration is limited and required by May 22nd.
