Welcome!

You are applying to be a Food Vendor for QTPOC Da Block! 2026.

QTPOC Da Block! is a free, all-ages block party created by and for Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTPOC). Hosted by the BIPOC Pride Committee of the Grand Rapids Pride Center, this event celebrates community, culture, creativity, chosen family, and joy.

We believe food is more than nourishment. It is culture, connection, and community care. We are seeking food vendors who will help create a welcoming and diverse culinary experience that reflects the richness of QTPOC communities while ensuring every attendee has access to a meal.

Vendor selection is based on mission alignment, community connection, menu diversity, operational readiness, and event logistics. Submission of an application does NOT guarantee acceptance.

Community Meal Program
One of the ways QTPOC Da Block! removes barriers is through our Community Meal Program, which provides every attendee with one complimentary meal during the event.

Accepted food vendors serve as Community Meal Partners by accepting meal vouchers, tracking redeemed meals, and submitting an invoice following the event for reimbursement. This model helps ensure every attendee has equitable access to a meal while supporting local food businesses.

Vendor Contribution
QTPOC Da Block! was created to invest in and reduce barriers for Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Our contribution structure reflects that commitment while helping sustain this community event.

Rather than paying a traditional booth fee, accepted food vendors agree to contribute 10% of their total event sales back to the Grand Rapids Pride Center. This community contribution helps sustain future Community Meal Programs and ensures QTPOC Da Block! remains free and accessible for our community.

Join us before the celebration begins to help transform the space for QTPOC Da Block! Setup volunteers assist with unloading supplies, setting up tents and tables, placing signage, organizing activity areas, and preparing the event for our community. Because QTPOC Da Block is intentionally designed as a space for Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to gather in community, we especially encourage allies and non-QTPOC volunteers to sign up for setup shifts. Your support helps ensure QTPOC attendees can spend more time connecting, celebrating, and simply being with one another.
