Printmaking has been around for a long time! It is a widely used form of art with many unique and enjoyable variations. Join us in August to delve into some of the basics. Students will explore the tools and the process of monotypes, block printing, and screen printing. Your registration fee covers all 4 days of this multi-day workshop, and all supplies are included.
This multi-day class will be held on 3 Fridays from 11 AM-12 PM.
August 9: Block Printing
August 16: Monotypes
August 23: Collagraphs
August 30: Screen Printing
This class will be located in Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders!
There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 12. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.
About Molly Nelko: A native of Mobile, AL, Molly Nelko has joined Kentuck’s staff as our Programming Assistant! She attended Springhill College and received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, OR to Hilton Head SC, and can be found online. Molly currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash. Molly currently works in her studio regularly, but her focus has become more about enjoying creative projects with her children.

This class will be held in Studio 2 in Kentuck's Courtyard of Wonders! Map to 503 Main Ave. Northport, AL 35476 and look for Rusty, the big red dog. Studio 2 is located in the building behind Rusty--look for the double blue doors! There is a parking lot next to this building, and participants are also welcome to park in Downtown Northport.
