Reading Pride Celebration & The Reading Public Library need your help designing our first ever Pride Library Card. The contest is open to artists of all ages with a design that celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride. Submissions are due by April 30th, 2024. Rules: 1. One entry per person 2. art work must fit within the card measurements, including a key chain card design. (See photo Graphic for card size requirements) 3. make it colorful, be creative and have fun! 4. All art or graphics used, must be created by or owned by artist. The winning design will be announced on June 1st, 2024, at the Pride month kickoff event. The winner will receive a $100 gift card and have their design printed on the Pride library card. The kickoff event will take place at the Main branch of the Reading Public library. Details will be published as they become available. Artists are encouraged to attend as the winner will be announced at the event, and the winning artist will be given the opportunity to speak about their design. The General Public will have the opportunity to exchange their existing card for the Pride Card. Newly enrolled library card holders can also request the Pride card during the month of June 2024.
