About the event
Come enjoy a night filled with poetry, music and some friendly competition. This night is filled with amazing talent from all throughout Long Island and New York. Poets and Musicians compete in their respective categories by performing a few pieces for the crowd. All hosted exclusively at Lithology Brewing Co. to create an intimate setting for you to enjoy these performances up close and meet the artists right after!

LOCATION: LITHOLOGY BREWING CO. (211A MAIN ST, FARMINGDALE, NY) 
EVENT TIME: 8PM - 11PM 
- Performers should be able to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the event. 
 
EVENT DATES:
  • Saturday March 9th, 2024
  • Friday April 12th, 2024
  • Saturday May 18th, 2024 
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
  • March Event Date - Friday March 1st
  • April Event Date - Monday April 1st
  • May Event Date - Friday April 26th
We want to emphasize that our event operates on a foundation of inclusivity and support for local talent. As such, we want to make it clear that we do not charge any submission fees for artists to participate in our event if selected.
 
Event Aspects:
  • Each performer will receive a dedicated time slot to showcase 2 songs or 2 poems.
  • Performers are always encouraged to showcase original work
  • Performers will be able to perform on a front facing stage 
  • Access to an in house PA system
  • Personalized flyers will be provided to performers for event promotion.
  • Promo codes will be assigned, allowing performers to earn a kickback for each ticket sold under their name.
  • Professional photos will be shared with performers post-event.
EXPANDING OUR EVENT EXPERIENCE
 
As we strive to elevate our event and explore innovative ways to champion artistry in our communities, we are thrilled to introduce an exciting enhancement for our winners. Beginning with our upcoming event, victorious performers will now receive a professionally produced highlight video.
 
Post-Event Highlight Video Details:
  • The highlight video will be recorded within one of our esteemed partnering studio spaces.
  • Our in-house media team will expertly craft and produce these showcase videos.
  • Videos will be shared through our Colored Colors Instagram page

  • Website, Link, or Profile showcasing your work
  • Upload a minimum of 2 high-res photos for the creation of your personalized flyer
 
IMPORTANT UPDATE: CHANGES TO SUBMISSION ELIGIBILITY
 
We want to inform you of an important update regarding submission eligibility for our upcoming event. Due to consistent challenges arising from last-minute cancellations with performers residing outside of New York State, we have made the decision to limit applications exclusively to individuals residing within NYS. This decision is part of our proactive efforts to enhance the overall experience for our attendees by minimizing scheduling conflicts and ensuring a reliable and consistent event.
 
The success of this event relies on the full cooperation of the artists involved. By participating, you contribute not only to the promotion of artistry but also to putting money in the pockets of fellow artists. We appreciate your dedication to making this event a memorable and prosperous experience for all.
