Picture Framing 101

Do you have artwork that needs a frame? Bring it to Kentuck, and come learn how to save yourself money in picture framing costs! In this two-hour class, we will go over picture sizing and how to cut a mat with proper dimensions. We will discuss design techniques and also learn about proper archiving materials and mounting techniques. No frame will be provided. We will provide white matboard only, mat cutter, foam core, and all necessary hardware. If you have a frame you would like to use, please bring it and we will cut materials to fit. Otherwise, each participant will leave with a product ready for either a standard size picture frame, or a piece prepped for a custom frame. This class is for adults only, 18+. This class will be offered twice, Thursday: February, 16; 6-8pm Saturday: February, 25; 2:30-4:30pm Cost is $50 per person Required materials: A picture no bigger than 11x14 A frame if you have one. This class will be located in the newly available Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders! There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 10. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.
