October Watercolors (4 sessions) Chien Chung Wei- Fabric and Lace Texture

4-Week Acrylic Class (Oct, 6,13,20,27) Tuesdays at 10am Learning from the Masters. In this four-week watercolor class, students will study the refined realism and texture mastery of Chien Chung-Wei. This class focuses on rendering fabric, lace, and layered textiles through careful value control and transparent glazing. During the first two weeks, students will reproduce a Chung-Wei inspired still life emphasizing folds, pattern, and subtle light shifts. In the final weeks, students will create an original still life composition featuring fabric and layered texture. This class is ideal for watercolorists ready to strengthen control, patience, and refined brush handling. What You’ll Learn: Rendering folds and fabric texture Value layering and glazing Negative space control Soft edge transitions Supply List (Required): Basic watercolor tube paints to include: yellow ochre burnt umber cad red medium ultra marine blue Paynes Grey Alizeran Crimson Brushes: large, medium, and small round brushes, Medium squirell mop brush. Watercolor paper (140 lb cold press) Paper is the most important supply on this list. Recommend, Artists loft, Arches or Canson Palette Pencil and eraser White gouache All other supplies are provided.
