Welcome to the 40th Anniversary of the Coupeville Historic Waterfront Associations’ Penn Cove Musselfest! We celebrate our local vibrant historic downtown shops, restaurants and Penn Cove Mussels. There are kid friendly activities, food demos, mussel eating contests, food vendors, a beer tent (Blue Zone), and live music.

Parking instructions
Parking Free parking is available at Coupeville High School and Coupeville Elementary School. Park at either of these locations and walk downtown or hop aboard a free shuttle! For $10, you can park in the Town Lot next to the library — less than 500 feet from the Coupeville Rec Hall or the corner of Front & Alexander Streets next to the iconic Coupeville Wharf. Parking proceeds go toward a Safe and Sober Graduation of the Coupeville Class of 2026. Shuttles Shuttles are back! You can park your car and jump on a shuttle to get to your chowder-tasting locations. While many restaurants will have their tastings in the downtown historic district, some will be at their restaurant locations. Free Shuttles will stop at Coupeville High School, Coupeville Elementary School, 8th & Main Street, and Alexander & Coveland. Shuttle service runs Saturday 10:30 am - 5 pm and Sunday 10:30 am - 5 pm. Island Transit Want to get to Penn Cove Musselfest, but don’t want to worry about parking? Island Transit can help! Visit their website to review their schedules and plan your trip to and from the Musselfest! *There will be a total of four chefs selected. There will be a winner announced each day. Each winner will receive the Musselfest Championship Belt to display in their establishment. All participants will receive a $250 stipend and lodging on Saturday March 7th if required.

What you’ll be doing: You’ll help keep the vibes high and the activities flowing—welcoming guests, helping set up the activity space, keeping everything looking sharp, supporting chefs or contest crew, and keeping the sponsor slideshow running smoothly. Each area has its own flavor, but the mission stays the same: fun, seamless operations, and lots of mussel-powered memories. Quick pro tips: Before heading to your assigned spot, swing by the Masonic Lodge to check in with the Volunteer Coordinator and pick up your T-shirt. Give yourself a little extra time to get geared up and ready to roll! When your shift wraps, head back to the Masonic Lodge to drop off any equipment and grab your volunteer verification letter—because your awesomeness deserves to be officially recognized.
