The MelaDen Presents the Halloween Trunk or Treat + Mini Market Candy. Community. Local Vendors. Halloween Fun. Join us for a fun-filled Halloween evening hosted in partnership with the community, featuring a festive Trunk or Treat for neighborhood families alongside a small curated Mini Market featuring local businesses and entrepreneurs. Residents will transform their vehicles into creative Halloween displays and line up to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. While the little ones make their way from trunk to trunk, guests can also shop, browse, and connect with a handful of local vendors. What to Expect ~A community Trunk or Treat with decorated vehicles and plenty of candy ~A variety of small businesses, makers, creatives, and entrepreneurs ~Halloween-themed fun for families and community members ~Opportunities to discover and support local businesses ~A festive, welcoming neighborhood atmosphere Admission is FREE. Whether you’re coming to trick-or-treat, shop local, support a small business, or simply enjoy the evening with your neighbors, we’d love to have you there. The MelaDen is bringing together a curated mix of local businesses, creatives, makers, service providers, and community organizations for Trunk or Treat at Lakes of Windermere.

This family-friendly event brings the community together for Halloween fun, decorated trunks, treats, local businesses, and plenty of opportunities for families to connect and discover something new.

We intentionally limit duplicate vendor categories so each business has room to stand out. Applications are reviewed based on event fit, availability, and maintaining a balanced vendor mix. Because this is a curated event, we may limit or decline applications when a product or service category is already represented.

Location: Outdoor — grass
Electricity: Unavailable, quiet generators permitted

Tents: Recommended but not required
Tent Stakes: Not permitted. Please use an appropriate alternative for securing your tent.

Food: Prepared-food vendors may apply; food trucks are not currently being accepted
Beverages: Beverage-only vendors are not currently being accepted

Trunk Stop Requirement

Every participating vendor is required to have a small bowl available at their booth for children to stop by during Trunk or Treat. The HOA will provide the candy, so vendors do not need to purchase or supply their own candy. Vendors are responsible for providing a small bowl or container for the candy to be distributed from.

We welcome family-friendly retail, art, wellness, beauty, handmade goods, services, specialty products, children's products, Halloween-themed businesses, and other offerings that fit the event.

Weather Policy
Because this is an outdoor event, the market may be cancelled or modified due to unsafe weather conditions. Weather-related decisions will be made with the safety of vendors, attendees, and event staff in mind.

A NOTE ABOUT OUR MARKETS The MelaDen is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization. No one at The MelaDen is paid to host or coordinate these events. Vendor fees are used strictly to cover the costs of producing the event, including required permits, venue or site expenses, staffing, equipment, marketing, and other event-related costs. We do not charge vendor fees as a source of personal income. Our marketing budget depends on the funds available for each event. When vendor participation is low, there may be little or no funding available for paid advertising, which means our ability to reach shoppers beyond our existing Instagram and Facebook audiences is limited. As a nonprofit, The MelaDen is also subject to financial transparency requirements. Financial information and reports may be requested in accordance with applicable nonprofit requirements. We appreciate every vendor who helps make these community events possible. Your participation helps us continue creating spaces where local businesses, creatives, and community members can connect and grow.
