Mebane Lantern Festival

Join us for the second annual Lantern Festival at Lake Michael Park! Destination Downtown Mebane, the City of Mebane Parks and Recreation and the Mebane Trail Rangers have partnered to host a fun evening of nature, whimsey, art and music just in time for Mother's Day. Purchase a lantern kit from participating downtown businesses, decorate it, and join us for a magical evening as we release the lanterns into Lake Michael at 8 p.m. on Saturday April 29th 2023 (Rain Date May 7th). Participants are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy vendors, food trucks and live music at scenic Lake Michael prior to the lantern launch. The festival runs from 5p-10p.
