May Acrylics (4 sessions) Pierre-Auguste Renoir- Color, Warmth & Soft Form

4-Week Acrylic Class (May 6,13,19,27) Wednesdays at 10am Make-up classes available on Thursdays This four-week acrylic painting class explores the warm, vibrant style of Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Students will focus on color relationships, soft edges, and creating form through color rather than heavy detail. The first two weeks will be spent studying and reproducing a Renoir-inspired piece to understand his approach to warmth and movement. In the final weeks, students will create an original painting emphasizing color, softness, and visual flow. Subjects may include figures, portraits, or still life. A great class for artists who want to improve color confidence and painting fluidity. What You’ll Learn: Warm color palettes Soft transitions and blended edges Creating form with color Painterly brushwork Supply List (Required): Acrylic paints (intermediate to professional grade only) Must include Burnt Umber and Yellow Ochre Brushes: Large, medium, and small round and flat brushes Canvas: 11×14 canvas board or stretched canvas Acrylic matte medium All other supplies are provided. Paint Quality Note: Recommended acrylic paint brands: Winsor & Newton, Grumbacher, or Golden. Intermediate to professional grade paints are required. Beginner or student-grade paints are not recommended, as paint quality makes a significant difference in results.
