March Watercolors (4 sessions) Thomas Schaller: Light, Sky & Structure

4-Week Acrylic Class (March, 10,17,24,31) Tuesdays at 1:30 PM Learning from the Masters. Students will learn how to design a painting before details begin, using light and shadow to create drama and focus. Because of the complexity of Schaller’s work, this month will focus entirely on learning from the master through guided studies and technique exploration rather than completing an original final piece. Watercolor Supply List Paint Watercolor tube paint (brand does not matter) Basic color palette, including: Payne’s Grey Yellow Ochre Vandyke Brown Chinese White Paper Watercolor paper, 9 x 12 inches 140 lb Cold Press GOOD quality paper is very important Recommended brands: Arches Canson Artist’s Loft (watercolor line only) Brushes Squirrel mop brush (medium is best) #9 round #6 round One small flat brush One very tiny detail brush Other Suggested Supplies Pebeo Drawing Gum (masking fluid) Dr. Ph.
