Health & Safety Guidelines Klickitat County Harvest Festival – October 17th 2026 Your safety is our priority! Please help us keep this event safe and fun for everyone by following these health and safety guidelines: Sanitation & Hygiene: Handwashing stations and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event grounds. Please wash or sanitize your hands frequently, especially after petting zoo visits, eating, or using restrooms. Animal Safety (Petting Zoo): Use hand sanitizer or wash hands after touching animals. Do not feed animals anything outside of provided food. Supervise children at all times around animals. ? Kids Activities & Bounce Houses: Staff will limit the number of children inside inflatables to prevent overcrowding. Please follow posted age and weight guidelines, and make sure children are listening to staff. ? Parking & Traffic: Only park in public parking lots or open spaces. Watch for pedestrians, children, and hay rides moving through the area. ? Weather Preparedness: This is a rain-or-shine event—dress for the weather! Stay hydrated and wear sun protection if the day is warm. ? Child Safety: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. ? Health & First Aid: First aid kits and assistance will be available at the main info booth. ? Smoking, Alcohol, & Drugs: This is a smoke-free event, please smoke outside of all barriers and away from children and hay. No drugs or vaping allowed on event grounds. ?️ Clean-Up & Respect: Please use trash and recycling bins provided. Be kind and respectful to vendors, volunteers, and other guests.

Klickitat County Harvest Festival Trunk or Treat

Join us for a fun, family-friendly Trunk or Treat from 3:00–5:00 PM!

FAMILY-FRIENDLY • NO-SCARE ZONE
Our regular Trunk or Treat is meant to be welcoming and fun for children of all ages. Please do not have scare actors, jump scares, or intentionally scare children at your trunk.

Want to get spooky
If you want to have scare actors, jump scares, or a scarier trunk experience, please sign up for our Haunted Trunk Zone instead!

⏰ TRUNK CHECK-IN: 1:00–2:30 PM
All participating trunks must check in between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM so everyone is parked, decorated, and completely ready when Trunk or Treat begins at 3:00 PM.

NEW LOCATION & ENTRY THIS YEAR
Trunk or Treat is moving this year! Please enter near NAPA in Goldendale, where our event team will check you in and direct you to your assigned spot.

PLEASE COME PREPARED FOR A LOT OF TRICK-OR-TREATERS!
We recommend bringing a minimum of 1,000 pieces of candy for your trunk. Our Trunk or Treat gets a LOT of kids, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the fun!

You don't have to hand out only candy! We encourage mixing in fun non-food items such as:
Mini toys
✏️ Pencils
⭐ Stickers
Other small Halloween goodies

These are also wonderful options for children with food allergies or dietary restrictions and can help stretch your candy supply.

ORGANIZATIONS & GROUPS
Bringing multiple trunks from the same business, organization, club, or group? Let us know when you register so we can do our best to place your trunks together.

Trunk or Treat: 3:00–5:00 PM
Please plan to stay set up for the entire Trunk or Treat.

Haunted Trunk/Pop Up Tent Zone

? Haunted Trunk Zone or Haunted Pop-Up Tent Zone

Want to bring the scares to the Klickitat County Harvest Festival? Our Haunted Zone is the place for you!

Unlike our family-friendly Trunk or Treat area, the Haunted Zone is specifically for participants who want to create a spooky, scary, or interactive Halloween experience.

Choose the setup that works best for you:

Haunted Trunk Zone — Decorate your vehicle or trunk and transform it into a spooky experience.

Haunted Pop-Up Tent Zone — Bring a pop-up tent and create a walk-up or walk-through haunted experience. This is a great option if you need more room for decorations, props, or scare actors.

Participants in the Haunted Zone may include scare actors, jump scares, spooky props, sound effects, and scarier decorations.

Please keep in mind: This is still a community event attended by families and children. Displays should be Halloween scary and fun. No weapons, inappropriate/adult content, or excessively graphic/gory displays.

Participants may hand out candy or other small giveaway items. No homemade food or treats are permitted. All edible items must be commercially produced and individually wrapped. Non-food options such as stickers, pencils, mini toys, and other small goodies are encouraged.

All participants must be completely set up and ready by 3:00 PM and remain in their assigned area through 5:00 PM.

If your organization or group is bringing multiple haunted trunks or tents, please let us know when registering so we can do our best to place you together.
