The Juneteenth Augusta Festival brings awareness to Juneteenth and spreads camaraderie amongst the community while commemorating the emancipation of our ancestors. This event comes complete with soulful-conscious speakers, health and wellness checks, phenomenal musical and spoken word acts, extravagant exhibits, entertainment for kids, and vendors from all across the CSRA. This event always has been and will remain FREE to the public in successive years!

Festival Parking Instructions To ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone, please follow the designated parking instructions based on your festival role: ________________________________________ General Attendees • Location: General parking is located at the main fairgrounds lot. Overflow parking will be available at nearby designated lots (follow posted signage). • Cost: $10.00 fee for general parking (first-come, first-served). • Reserved Parking: Available for $45 and includes a guaranteed space regardless of arrival time. A valid reserved parking pass must be presented upon entry. ________________________________________ Reminders • Please follow all signage and instructions from parking attendants and volunteers. • Lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight. • Unauthorized parking may result in towing or restricted access.

Health & Safety Guidelines The safety and well-being of all attendees, vendors, staff, performers, and volunteers is a top priority of the Juneteenth Augusta Festival. All participants are expected to follow the health and safety guidelines outlined below to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable festival experience. ________________________________________ General Safety • Follow all posted signage and comply with directions from festival staff, volunteers, security personnel, and emergency responders. • Emergency access routes, fire lanes, and walkways must remain clear at all times. • Any unsafe condition, hazard, or suspicious activity should be reported immediately to festival staff or security. ________________________________________ Medical & Emergency Services • On-site medical personnel and first aid services will be available throughout the event. • In the event of a medical emergency, notify the nearest festival staff member or security officer immediately. • Emergency evacuation procedures will be announced if necessary and must be followed promptly. ________________________________________ Food Safety & Sanitation • All food vendors must comply with local health department regulations and festival food safety requirements. • Vendors are responsible for maintaining clean food preparation, service, and disposal areas at all times. • Handwashing stations and sanitizing materials must be used as required. ________________________________________ Fire Safety • Cooking, grilling, or frying is permitted only in approved vendor areas. • Required fire extinguishers, barricades, and safety equipment must remain accessible at all times. • Open flames, propane tanks, and generators must be handled safely and inspected prior to operation. • Any fire hazard or unsafe setup may result in immediate shutdown and removal. ________________________________________ Heat & Weather Safety • Attendees and vendors are encouraged to stay hydrated, take breaks, and seek shade as needed. • Cooling or shade areas may be provided throughout the festival grounds. • In the event of severe weather, announcements will be made regarding shelter, delays, or evacuation procedures. ________________________________________ Crowd Safety & Conduct • Running, aggressive behavior, or disorderly conduct is not permitted. • All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and family-friendly manner. • Any behavior deemed unsafe, disruptive, or threatening may result in removal from the festival grounds. ________________________________________ Children & Family Safety • Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. • The Kid Zone is designed for family-friendly activities; rules posted within the area must be followed. • Lost children should be reported immediately to festival staff or security. ________________________________________ Accessibility & ADA Compliance • Accessible routes, seating, and facilities are provided throughout the festival grounds. • Do not block ADA-accessible paths, entrances, or accommodations. • Guests requiring assistance should notify festival staff for support. ________________________________________ Prohibited Items & Activities For the safety of all attendees, the following are prohibited unless explicitly authorized: • Weapons of any kind • Illegal substances • Unauthorized alcohol • Fireworks or explosives • Drones or aerial devices • Unapproved sales, solicitation, or demonstrations ________________________________________ Compliance & Enforcement • Failure to comply with health and safety guidelines may result in warnings, restricted access, or removal from the festival grounds. • Festival staff and security reserve the right to take appropriate action to protect public safety. • By attending or participating in the festival, all individuals agree to comply with these guidelines.

Volunteer with Juneteenth Augusta Festival The Juneteenth Augusta Festival is made possible by the dedication, energy, and heart of our volunteers. Each year, volunteers play a critical role in helping us deliver a safe, welcoming, and impactful celebration for thousands of attendees from across the region. We are seeking reliable, community-minded individuals to assist in a variety of roles, including but not limited to: • Guest services & information support • Vendor and sponsor assistance • Hospitality & check-in support • Stage & activity area support • Setup, breakdown, and general operations While volunteers are able to indicate preferred roles, shifts, and time availability during the application process, festival operations are dynamic. Volunteers are asked to remain flexible and understand that assignments, locations, or shift times may be adjusted or reassigned as needed to support overall festival operations. Volunteers are expected to arrive on time, follow instructions from team leads, maintain a positive attitude, and represent the festival with professionalism and respect. Prior event experience is helpful but not required—training and guidance will be provided. By volunteering, you become part of a team committed to celebrating history, culture, and community while helping ensure a smooth and successful festival experience for all. Complete the application to be considered for volunteer opportunities. Selected volunteers will be contacted with role assignments, shift details, and next steps.

Juneteenth Augusta Festival – Attendee Terms and Conditions By attending the Juneteenth Augusta Festival, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. General Admission • Entry to the festival is free and open to the public. • All attendees must register for a free ticket (online or on-site) for entry and participation purposes. 2. Code of Conduct • This is a family-friendly event. Attendees must conduct themselves respectfully and refrain from offensive, disruptive, or unsafe behavior. • Discrimination, harassment, or aggression of any kind will not be tolerated. • Festival staff and security reserve the right to remove any individual who violates this code. 3. Safety and Security • Security checks (bag checks, walk-throughs, etc.) may be conducted at entrances. • No weapons, illegal substances, or outside alcohol are allowed on the premises. • Emergency services will be on-site. Please follow instructions from security or staff in the event of an emergency. 4. Personal Belongings • The Juneteenth Augusta Festival, its organizers, and venue partners are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. • Please do not leave valuables unattended. 5. Media and Photography • By entering the festival grounds, attendees grant permission for the use of their image, voice, and likeness in any festival-related promotional or media content. • Personal photography and video are welcome, but professional equipment and drones are not allowed without prior approval. 6. Vendors and Activities • All sales and interactions with vendors are the responsibility of the attendee and the vendor. The festival is not liable for transactions, exchanges, or vendor conduct. • Some activities may require waivers or sign-ups and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 7. Weather and Event Changes • The festival is a rain-or-shine event unless weather conditions pose a threat to safety. • Organizers reserve the right to change the schedule, location, or structure of the event due to unforeseen circumstances. 8.
