Big Bang: Pet & Pedals Parade

Celebrate a morning of community spirit and patriotic fun on South Main Street with two exciting back-to-back events! Kick things off with the Pet & Pedals Parade (8:00am to 10:00am), where pets of all kinds and their human companions take center stage; first with a charming parade of pets on foot, followed by a lively group riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other non-motorized wheels. Costumes, creativity, and festive flair are highly encouraged for participants of all ages, whether on paws or on wheels. Immediately following the parade, the street transforms into Freedom on Wheels (from 10:00am to 12:00pm), a safe, car-free zone stretching from Chestnut Street to Pine Street. Families are invited to bring bikes, scooters, wagons, strollers, and other non-motorized rides to cruise freely and enjoy a joyful, patriotic celebration together.
