Holidays on the Plaza brings festive fun to Tuscaloosa each winter with its seasonal ice skating rink, offering excitement for all ages. Alongside the rink, visitors can stroll through the beautifully decorated Tinsel Trail, a holiday tradition that supports Tuscaloosa’s One Place. Open Monday, November 24 until Thursday, January 1, 2026. Get ready to lace up your skates and celebrate another season of winter fun in the heart of Tuscaloosa!

Parking instructions
Free parking is available in the Intermodal Facility parking deck, as well as 7th Street and surrounding downtown Tuscaloosa street parking.
Health & safety
It is your responsibility to reach out to the Tuscaloosa County Health Department for any additional required inspections and or fees in order to participate in the event.

The annual Holidays on the Plaza 2025-2026 season will be at Government Plaza and run from Monday, November 24th through Thursday, January 1st. A limited number of spaces will be available each day for mobile food vendors on Gary Fitts Street (6th St). All food vendors will be required to have an active mobile food vending license or a City of Tuscaloosa franchise license. There is no vendor application fee.
