About the event
Join Project Pride SRQ for a welcoming, recreational 7-week LGBTQ+ & Ally Pickleball League for community members and allies, age 18+.
This doubles league is designed to bring community, movement, friendly competition, and connection to the courts. Players may register solo or list a preferred teammate by full name during registration. Teammate requests are not guaranteed unless both players register and space is available. All skill levels are welcome, and registration includes a self-rating question so teams and matchups can be organized thoughtfully.
The league will run on Sundays from August 9 through September 20, 2026, at the Sarasota City YMCA. Teams will play one scheduled match per week, with standings tracked throughout the season and a final week of championship and placement matches.
Registration includes participation in the full 7-week league and one league T-shirt per registered player. YMCA membership is not required. Registration is $65 per player, plus Eventeny processing fees. Players should bring their own paddle, court-appropriate shoes, water, and a positive attitude. PPSRQ will provide balls for match play.

Parking instructions
Free parking is available in the Sarasota City YMCA parking lot. Please use designated parking spaces only and be mindful of YMCA members, staff, and other guests when arriving and leaving.
Participants should plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled match time to allow time for parking, check-in, and getting to the courts.
YMCA members should check in using their membership card. Non-YMCA members should bring photo identification on their first visit and complete the YMCA’s standard guest form and liability waiver before participating.
Health & safety
Please arrive ready to play and bring water, court-appropriate athletic shoes, your paddle, and any personal items you may need. Players are encouraged to warm up before matches and play at their own pace.
If you are feeling sick, injured, overheated, or unable to safely participate, please sit out and notify a league organizer.
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Please respect your partner, opponents, YMCA staff, league organizers, and shared court space.

Terms & Conditions
Registration is required to participate in the Project Pride SRQ LGBTQ+ Pickleball League. Each registration is for one individual player. Players may register solo or list a preferred teammate by full name during registration, but teammate requests and team pairings are not guaranteed.
Registration includes participation in the full 7-week league and one league T-shirt per registered player. Registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise approved by Project Pride SRQ.
Players are expected to participate weekly unless otherwise communicated to Project Pride SRQ. Teams should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled match time. A team may forfeit if it is not ready to play within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time.
Registration is not transferable without Project Pride SRQ approval. Substitutes must be approved by league organizers and must already be registered league participants. Outside substitutes are not allowed. Substitutes are not allowed during finals.
All participants must follow YMCA facility rules, Project Pride SRQ league rules, code of conduct, sportsmanship expectations, and organizer decisions. Discriminatory, threatening, unsafe, aggressive, violent, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the league without refund.
By registering, participants acknowledge that Project Pride SRQ may share the participant roster with the YMCA for facility access, check-in, waiver, safety, and program coordination purposes.
