Two musical forces rooted in storytelling and shared musical values are coming together for a powerful night at Timbers on Etowah on Friday, June 26th.
This special performance marks the first-ever live music show at Timbers on Etowah, offering an intimate, listening room-style experience designed for true music lovers. The show will be standing room only, creating an up-close, immersive atmosphere where the focus stays on the music, the lyrics, and the connection between artist and audience.
Greg Drews and the Truth is led by Atlanta-based songwriter Greg Drews, who crafts vocal-driven American Roots music steeped in experience and place. His songs blend the recline of California roots rock, the harmonies of Southern soul, and the gentle swagger of Texas troubadours—echoes of time well spent. Since 2018, the band has been a familiar presence at festivals and live music venues across the Southeast, releasing three albums since 2019. Their latest EP, Yellow Rose, was recorded at the legendary West End Sound in Atlanta and released in April 2023.
The Truth is Chris Nosek on drums and vocals, Jay Gore on vocals and percussion, Mark Grundhoefer on guitar and vocals, and Stephen Grundhoefer on bass—a lineup built on feel, harmony, and songs that carry weight.
Joining them is ECHO (formerly The Back Row Baptists), a band rooted in original music and inspired by the great American songwriters like John Prine and Bob Dylan, with the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead woven throughout. ECHO treats every performance as a living conversation—songs stretch, breathe, and evolve in real time, with no sacred setlists and no two nights ever the same.
ECHO is made up of Greg Shaddix on vocals and acoustic guitar, Roger Brainard on vocals and lead electric guitar, Jerbo Foti on bass, Chris Nosek on drums and percussion, and Mark Grundhoefer on lead guitar, mandolin, and lap steel guitar.
Together, Greg Drews and the Truth and ECHO promise an evening centered on connection, exploration, and songs that matter. This is a night where storytelling meets spontaneity—and where the room itself becomes part of the experience.
Tickets are limited due to the intimate nature of the space, and early purchase is highly recommended.
