Health and Safety Guidelines for Gloves Over Guns Boxing Showcase Your health and safety are our top priorities at the Gloves Over Guns Boxing Showcase. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, participants, and staff. Please review and adhere to the following guidelines, which align with the standards of the Health and Recreation Complex at Butler University. General Guidelines Wellness Check: If you are feeling unwell, experiencing symptoms of illness, or have been recently exposed to someone with a contagious illness, we kindly ask that you do not attend the event. Hygiene Practices: Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue. Please sanitize your hands upon entry and as needed. Attendees are encouraged to practice good hygiene, such as frequent handwashing and covering coughs or sneezes. Face Coverings: Masks are optional unless otherwise mandated by local health authorities or Butler University. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so. Physical Distancing: Please respect others’ personal space, particularly in high-traffic areas. Seating arrangements will allow for safe spacing where possible. Event-Specific Safety Measures Medical Staff On-Site: Certified medical professionals will be available during the event to address any health concerns or emergencies. Participant Safety: Boxers must undergo a mandatory weigh-in and medical clearance before competing. Protective gear is required for all competitors to ensure their safety during matches. Crowd Management: To ensure a safe and comfortable environment, venue capacity will be monitored and maintained in accordance with local and university guidelines. Event staff will be stationed throughout the venue to assist with crowd control and address any safety concerns. Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency, follow the instructions provided by event staff and the venue’s public address system. Emergency exits will be clearly marked and accessible. Food and Beverage Safety Designated Eating Areas: Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas. Please dispose of trash responsibly to maintain a clean environment. Alcohol Policy: Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed by attendees aged 21 and older with proper identification and in designated 21 and older areas. Prohibited Items To ensure the safety of all attendees, the following items are prohibited: Weapons of any kind Outside food or beverages Illegal substances Large bags or backpacks (small personal bags are permitted and may be subject to search) Venue Compliance These guidelines are in alignment with the policies of the Health and Recreation Complex at Butler University.
