During this immersive workshop, you will: -Learn the cultural significance and history of traditional Navajo plant dyes -Explore the plants used to create natural colors and how they are prepared -Participate in the complete dyeing process using natural fibers -Dye your own yarn to take home -Ask questions and learn directly from a Navajo shepherd and weaver whose knowledge has been passed down through generations Whether you’re a fiber artist, spinner, weaver, knitter, dyer, or simply fascinated by traditional craft, you’ll leave with new skills and a deeper appreciation for one of North America’s most enduring textile traditions.
