About the event

Gamers Alley Con is a full weekend celebration of gaming, collectibles, anime, and pop culture. Join us Saturday and Sunday, August 1st and 2nd, at the Gastonia Conference Center for an unforgettable event bringing together fans of video games, trading cards, toys, anime, and collectibles. This is more than a vendor show—it’s a full convention-style experience built for collectors, players, families, and fans of all ages. VIP Early Access Night Friday, July 31st | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Kick off the weekend early with exclusive VIP Early Access. VIP attendees receive first access to the Vendor Hall before the main event begins, offering a quieter shopping experience and early opportunity to browse select vendors. Tabletop Gaming Room Enjoy board games, role-playing games, and casual play areas where you can join ongoing sessions or bring your own group. Trading Card Game (TCG) Tournaments Competitive and casual tournaments featuring popular TCG titles. Full schedules and prize details will be announced soon. Please note: Tournament entry may require separate registration or fees. Celebrity Guest Appearances Meet special guests, attend panels, and take part in photo and autograph opportunities. Guest announcements coming soon. Main Vendor Hall Explore vendors offering trading cards, retro and modern video games, vintage toys, anime merchandise, collectibles, and hobby supplies. Cosplay Contests Show off your creativity in our cosplay contests with separate categories for kids and adults.

Parking instructions

Parking is free at and around the Gastonia Conference Center, with plenty of nearby spaces available for attendees and vendors. Additional parking is available within the surrounding blocks and is just a short, convenient walk to the show.

Health & Safety Guidelines Gamers Alley Con The safety and comfort of our attendees, vendors, and guests are a top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for everyone attending Gamers Alley Con at the Gastonia Conference Center. General Safety Expectations All attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, vendors, guests, and fellow attendees. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without refund. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times. Running, roughhousing, or unsafe behavior inside the venue is not permitted. Emergency exits, hallways, and walkways must remain clear at all times. Gamers Alley Con reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who poses a safety risk or violates event rules. Health Considerations If you are feeling sick, have a fever, or are showing symptoms of illness, please stay home for the safety of others. Attendees are encouraged to practice good hygiene during the event. Costume & Prop Safety (Cosplay) Costumes are welcome and encouraged, but must allow for safe movement and visibility. Prop weapons must be clearly non-functional and safe. Event staff reserves the right to inspect any costume or prop item. Realistic firearms, sharp objects, metal weapons, or any item capable of causing harm are not permitted. Large costumes must not block aisles or create hazards for other attendees. Vendor & Equipment Safety Vendors must maintain safe booth setups and keep aisles clear at all times. Electrical equipment must be safe, in good condition, and properly connected. Event staff may request adjustments to vendor setups if safety concerns arise. Emergency Procedures In the event of an emergency, please follow instructions from event staff and venue personnel. If you see a safety concern, suspicious behavior, or an emergency, report it immediately to event staff.

Cosplay Contest

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT #1  We are excited to officially announce that Gamers Alley MiniCon will be hosting our first-ever Cosplay Contests, and we want to see this place filled with heroes, villains, anime legends, and gaming icons. Our Adult Cosplay Contest for ages 18 and over will take place Saturday, August 1st at 7:00 PM. Sunday, August 2nd, will be packed with cosplay fun, starting with our Kids Cosplay Contest for ages 12 and under at 1:00 PM, followed by our Teen Cosplay Contest for ages 13 to 17 at 2:30 PM, and wrapping up with our Group Cosplay Contest for all ages (2 or more people) at 4:00 PM. All events will be held at the Gastonia Conference Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. We will have prizes, trophies, and bragging rights on the line, with more details and prize reveals coming soon, so start planning your costumes now because this is going to be one of the biggest highlights of the weekend. Gamers Alley MiniCon takes place August 1st and 2nd, and Early Bird tickets go live next Friday morning, so be ready because this is just the beginning of many big announcements still to come.
