Would you like to promote your cultural heritage to the rest of Central Florida?  FusionFest is making available a covered display area for one organization from your area of the world at FusionFest November 27 & 28 in front of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in downtown Orlando.  Attendance is expected  between 5,000 and 15,000. What FusionFest Provides • An audience of  thousands • A covered platform (5’ x 7’) with protective rails for the exclusive use of the participating organization • Night-time security What the participating organization provides • Complete Application by November 1. • Donation to FusionFest to cover costs ($100 ) • Decoration of their platform box to display their cultural heritage. • This can be a static display that people view from the outside • This can be set up with a person or persons in the box to demonstrate or explain • This could be something the audience members step into for an interactive experience. • You can do whatever you like with the space to present your culture. • Setup Friday, November 26.

Share the sounds of your heritage with thousands of people - African drums, Chinese pipa, Scottish bagpipes, American blues guitar, Indian sitar, French accordion, Mexican pan flutes, etc.

Share an elegant fan dance or an exciting dragon dance of the Chinese culture. Show off the complex rhythms and footwork in traditional Irish step dance, Spanish Flamenco or American tap.  FusionFest welcomes the many folkloric dances of North America, Africa, the Caribbean, Middle East, Latin America, Asia, and Europe in authentic costumes to be performed to traditional music all in one place.

WHAT: Local Artists are invited to submit art for exhibition and for sale at FusionFest 2021. 

THEME: This is a call for artists to express the uniqueness of their cultures and heritages. Showcase the celebrations, colors, textures and aspects of your heritage and cultural background.

SELECTION: 10 artists will be selected for the contest and visual arts area.

CONTEST: Artists submit one of their artworks most aligned to the theme to compete in the contest. Judges will score on a) skill, b) creativity and c) theme

• Audience Choice Award: $150

Walk the runway in an outfit representing your heritage.

Fashion Designers are invited to create a new work that blends elements from different parts of the world.

- Designs must be 100% original materials, no pre-made scarfs or t-shirts, for example. The only non-original parts of your design that are permitted are shoes and accessories. 

- Participants are responsible to supply their own model and provide hair and makeup. 

- There will be a total of 9 fashion shows over the two-day festival, and you must participate in a minimum of 3 shows.

- You are required to be present for the final show taking place on Sunday at 4:45 pm and be there for the 6 pm the Awards Show.

Prepare 40 samples of your fusion dish for judges and VIP guests for a chance to win $1,000 cash prize.
