About the event
Looking for a personalized gift for Christmas? Give the gift of art with a handmade, one-of-a-kind glass pendant, or a class registration so your loved one can make their own! Joni Esser-Stuart will be teaching a three hour pendant making class! In this workshop, participants will create three pendants and will learn the basics of kiln formed glass, how to cut glass and the process of designing fused glass pendants. These wearable pieces of art will allow students an opportunity to be creative in crafting their unique one of a kind pendants. Joni will provide a selection of regular fusible glass as well as dichroic glass to use in designing your pendants. Pendants will be fired and Joni will schedule a brief meeting (approximately 15 minutes) one week later at a mutually agreeable time to add bails to each pendant. There are two opportunities to take this workshop: Session A: December 6, 2025, 1-4pm. Session B: December 13, 2025, 1-4pm. All participants must wear closed toed shoes to attend the workshop! There is a $25 materials fee for this workshop which must be paid to the instructor via cash or check at the beginning of the workshop. The minimum for this class is 5, and the maximum is 10. If the class does not meet the minimum, participants will be refunded. Tickets are non-refundable once the registration deadline ends. Please email Molly Nelko, Program Manager, at mnelko@ with any questions.  Kentuck workshops are non-refundable after the registration closes. If you would like to cancel before the deadline passes, please email mbell@ or call 205-758-1257.
