21st Annual Fried Green Tomato Festival For more than two decades, the Fried Green Tomato Festival has welcomed visitors from near and far to the historic railroad town of Juliette, Georgia, for a celebration of Southern hospitality, community spirit, and small-town charm. Now in its 21st year, this beloved tradition draws thousands of attendees annually, making it one of Middle Georgia's most anticipated fall events. Inspired by the iconic film Fried Green Tomatoes, the festival transforms Juliette's picturesque downtown into a vibrant destination filled with live entertainment, local artisans, delicious food, and family fun. Guests can stroll along historic McCrackin Street while exploring more than 50 vendor booths featuring handmade crafts, specialty items, and unique gifts. Festival favorites include Southern comfort foods, sweet treats, food trucks, and, of course, the famous fried green tomatoes that inspired it all. Families enjoy a lively Kids Zone complete with pony rides, bounce houses, face painting, and activities for all ages, while music, clogging demonstrations, and community performances provide entertainment throughout the day. Visitors can also experience Juliette's rich history by visiting the Whistle Stop Depot, browsing local shops, and dining at the renowned Whistle Stop Café. The festival takes place in the streets of downtown Juliette, located 1 hour south of Atlanta and 20 minutes north of Macon. From I-75: Take exit 186, turn east, and travel 9 miles. Juliette will be on your right. From Macon: Take Riverside Drive (HWY 23) North to the intersection of Juliette Road. Turn right and travel 1/4 mile. Juliette will be on your right.

Outdoor Festival Health & Safety Guidelines The safety and well-being of our guests, vendors, volunteers, performers, and staff are our highest priorities. By attending the Fried Green Tomato Festival, you agree to follow these guidelines to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. General Safety Please be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution while navigating festival grounds, which may include uneven surfaces, gravel, grass, railroad areas, and crowded walkways. Follow all instructions provided by festival staff, volunteers, law enforcement officers, and emergency personnel. Keep all entrances, exits, walkways, and designated emergency access routes clear at all times. Report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, lost children, or emergencies immediately to the nearest festival representative or Information Booth. Weather Awareness The festival operates rain or shine. Guests should monitor weather conditions and dress appropriately for outdoor temperatures. In the event of severe weather, announcements and instructions will be communicated through festival staff and public address systems. Attendees should seek shelter and follow emergency instructions when directed. Heat and Sun Protection Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Wear sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and lightweight clothing to protect against sun exposure. Take breaks in shaded areas when needed, especially children, older adults, and individuals with medical conditions sensitive to heat. Recognize the signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, nausea, headaches, excessive sweating, and fatigue. First Aid and Emergency Services First Aid services will be available on-site during festival hours. Emergency personnel and law enforcement officers will be present throughout the event. In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 or notify the nearest festival staff member immediately. Emergency vehicles must have unrestricted access at all times. Children and Family Safety Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Establish a family meeting location in case family members become separated. Lost children should be escorted to the Information Booth, where staff will assist in reuniting families. Parents should monitor children participating in rides, inflatables, pony rides, and other activities. Food Safety Purchase food and beverages only from authorized festival vendors. Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions should speak directly with food vendors regarding ingredients and preparation practices. Consume perishable foods promptly and avoid leaving food exposed to heat for extended periods. Accessibility Designated accessible parking spaces are available for guests displaying valid permits. Guests requiring assistance are encouraged to visit the Information Booth for information and accommodations. Please be considerate of attendees using mobility aids and keep accessible pathways clear. Pets and Service Animals For the comfort and safety of all attendees, pets are discouraged unless otherwise permitted by festival policy. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities are welcome. Owners are responsible for maintaining control of their animals and cleaning up after them. Personal Property Guests are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings. The Fried Green Tomato Festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Avoid leaving valuables unattended. Smoking and Vaping Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas and should be conducted away from food service areas, children's attractions, and crowded gathering spaces. Properly dispose of cigarette butts and smoking materials in designated receptacles. Prohibited Items and Activities The following are prohibited on festival grounds: Illegal drugs or controlled substances Fireworks and explosives Hazardous materials Disorderly or disruptive behavior Unauthorized solicitation or sales Any item or activity deemed unsafe by festival management Guests who fail to comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave the festival grounds. By attending the festival, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly experience for all guests. Admission and Entry Admission to the festival grants access to designated public areas and activities during official festival hours. Certain activities, attractions, food items, and merchandise may require an additional fee. Festival organizers reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any individual whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with the family-friendly atmosphere of the event. Assumption of Risk Attendance and participation in the Fried Green Tomato Festival are voluntary and at your own risk. By entering the festival grounds, attendees assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, uneven terrain, crowds, food allergies, amusement activities, and other inherent risks associated with outdoor events. Release of Liability The Fried Green Tomato Festival, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, entertainers, the City of Juliette, and affiliated partners shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, or other claims arising from attendance or participation in the festival. Weather Policy The festival is a rain-or-shine event. Event schedules, entertainment, activities, and festival operations are subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be issued due to weather-related interruptions or changes to the event schedule. Photography and Media Release By attending the festival, guests grant permission to the Fried Green Tomato Festival to photograph, film, and record their likeness for promotional, marketing, advertising, archival, and social media purposes without compensation or additional consent. Children and Supervision Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times. The festival is not responsible for unattended minors. Lost children should be reported immediately to the Information Booth or festival staff. Pets and Service Animals For the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are discouraged unless otherwise permitted by festival policy. Owners are responsible for the care and control of their animals at all times. Food and Merchandise Food and merchandise are sold by independent vendors. The Fried Green Tomato Festival does not guarantee the quality, safety, availability, pricing, or suitability of products sold by vendors and assumes no responsibility for transactions between vendors and attendees. Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions should inquire directly with vendors regarding ingredients and preparation methods. Prohibited Items and Conduct The following are prohibited on festival grounds: Illegal drugs or controlled substances Firearms and weapons, except as permitted by law and authorized personnel Fireworks, explosives, or hazardous materials Disorderly, abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior Vandalism or destruction of property Unauthorized solicitation, distribution of materials, or sales activities Any conduct deemed unsafe or inappropriate by festival management Individuals who violate these policies may be removed from the festival without refund.
