Humboldt Made and the North Coast Growers Association transform the streets of Old Town Eureka into a festive place to meet up with friends and neighbors after the long work week. Friday Night Market has it all; farmers market, arts and craft vendors, bar featuring the best of Humboldt produced beverages, a wide variety of food vendors and of course, live local music for dancing. Not to mention we are located in the heart of Old Town surrounded by a fabulous array of shops, lively bars, music venues and fantastic restaurants.

COVID protocols
Humboldt Made, the producer of Eureka Friday Night Market, follows all city, county, state, DHHS and CDC protocols and recommendations to mitigate the spread of COVID and other infectious diseases - we expect that all vendors, participants and attendees do the same.

FNM 2023 - Food Vendor
Deadline: Oct 01, 2023
Eureka Friday Night Market is the premier Summer festival, especially when it comes to the wide array of food vendors that grace the streets of Old Town every week.  With upwards to 5,000 attendees every Market, attendees enjoy being able to sample food from various vendors in a single night - especially since the Market times sit squarely during what would otherwise be 'dinner time' for most local folks.   We highly recommend that you are able to produce your food items quickly and at high volume.

We do our best to make sure everyone gets placement at the market, but due to very high demand for booth spaces, we do curate to an extent to ensure we are offering a diverse offering of food during the event (ie, having 10 burger vendors at the same market doesn't do anyone any favors - patrons and vendors alike!) - as such, please note that filling out this application does not solidify your placement in the market, once your application is accepted, someone will confirm your placement and arrange for booth payment.

How the Application & Registration Payment Process Works:

  1. Submit Application (You'll be asked to add a method of payment, you will NOT be charged until a later date that is agreed upon between Humboldt Made & each Vendor)
  2. Your Application is approved!
  3. You will receive Registration Payment Fee instructions!
  4. Your space in the Market is Officially CONFIRMED!

All food vendors are required to carry a Temporary Food Facility Permit in order to participate in this open-air festival setting.  The permit application can be found here:  https://tinyurl.com/yfrm7mbx If you have questions regarding what type of permit is required of you to obtain or questions about if your current permit extends to your participation in Friday Night Market, please reach out to DHHS directly:  707-445-6215 or envhealth@co.humboldt.ca.us

In addition to obtaining a TFFP, All food prep must occur in a licensed commercial kitchen or a permitted/registered Cottage Food Operation (CFO) home kitchen.  It is not lawful to prepare food in an un-permitted/non-commercial kitchen that you will be bringing to the event.  A DHHS inspector will be on site during each event, and if you are not in compliance you will be asked to shut down your operation and suspend sales (we do not process refunds in this scenario).

Only when your payment has posted is your space considered reserved.

Please Note:  Humboldt Made and the Friday Night Market team are happy to provide you with the necessary TFFP application and information that is readily available to the public.  Because we are not affiliated or agents of DHHS, we are not able to provide unique situational advice on individual needs (this then would become a liability issue, so we encourage you to go to the source, DHHS, to get your questions answered).

FNM 2023 - Music/Entertainment
Deadline: Oct 01, 2023
Eureka Friday Night Market is the premier Summer festival in Humboldt County, especially when it comes to the wide array of food vendors that grace the streets of Old Town every week.  With upwards to 5,000 attendees every Market, attendees enjoy a diverse range of artisan vendors, farmers, food providers, an open air street bar, and live music from multiple stages.   For our music guests and performance artists, Friday Night Market is an incredible way to increase your exposure in the community and garner new followers.  With two main stages, one at the Clarke Plaza and the other at the Gazebo Plaza, we book multiple bands each Friday.

We do our best to make sure everyone gets placement at the market, but due to very high demand for performance slots we typically run a short waitlist.

We keep things as equitable as possible during the Market series, and pay out a flat fee across the board to all performers.  The flat rate for performing bands on the main stages is $300 per gig.  Certain things that my influence the rate of pay based on how much outside support labor we (the organizers) need to hire to support your performance (ie, sound technicians, PA equipment rental, etc.)

Bands/performers are fully allowed to collect tips from the audience during their performance!

Performance Artist (non-musical gigs) rates are to be negotiated on a case by case basis.

Interested in just busking?  We do allow buskers, HOWEVER you must still complete an application, and you will be scheduled and advised on authorized areas to do so during the time of event.  Busking is UNPAID by the event, but you are welcome to collect gratuity.  Busking is ONLY for single person performers, and no amplification is allowed (no exceptions).  Unauthorized Buskers that show up unannounced will be asked to leave the event area immediately, you must be in contact and coordinate with our team first.
