Foraging as Ecological Care

Did you know that many of the invasive plants in our area can be harvested for food and other uses? In this class, we will learn about a wide variety of uses for common invasive plants, including culinary and medicinal applications, basketry, dyes, and papermaking. Our educator will give a presentation with information about a wide variety of plants, educational resources, and inspiration for recipes and projects you can try at home. Then we will enjoy a guided walk to practice identifying invasive plants! Led by Eliza Crofts. Note: We will be gathering plants for educational purposes at this workshop, not harvesting for consumption.
