Join DC Drag Queen Tara Hoot for an unforgettable family-friendly experience that’s part storytime, part drag performance, and all heart! Through stories, songs, lip-syncs, and interactive sing-alongs, Tara creates a joyful and engaging show that captivates audiences of all ages. While the event is designed with children and families in mind, adults often find themselves just as inspired and entertained. With warmth, humor, and a touch of magic, Tara weaves each story together in a way that encourages everyone to embrace kindness, celebrate who they are, and leave feeling a little stronger, a little braver, and a lot more connected.

Parking instructions
Parking: Free street parking is available throughout downtown Terre Haute, including along Wabash Avenue and nearby side streets. Additional parking can be found in the SkyGarden Parking Garage (662 Ohio St.), the University Parking Garage (8th & Cherry), and the Terre Haute Convention Center Garage (811 Cherry St.), all within a short walk of the venue. Please allow extra time for parking during downtown events.

HOW TO ENTER: Please enter through the front door of the Pride
TICKETS & WRISTBANDS: The event is FREE for all attendees! Please reserve your ticket online in advance - donations are encouraged. Tickets will be scanned upon entry. All attendees must have a ticket to enter and participate in the event.

RESTROOMS: Restrooms are available inside the Pride Center.
SEATING: There is seating provided inside the Pride Center.
PETS: Service Animals welcome.
ACCESSIBILITY: Entrances to the event are mobility devices accessible.
KID-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES: The entire event is family and kid friendly!

In a political climate where funding has been pulled from LGBTQ+ organizations due to anti-diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

All volunteers, performers, parents, guardians, and attendees are expected to adhere to the following policies during the event.
**WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT:**
Family Fun Story Time with Tara Hoot is intended to be a welcoming environment free of bullying, harassment, intimidation, and victimization. The Pride Center of Terre Haute reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove individuals whose behavior causes others to feel unsafe, unwelcome, or discriminated against.
**BE RESPECTFUL:**
Our community is made up of people from many different backgrounds, identities, and experiences. This event is intended to be a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Please treat all attendees with respect. Sexism, racism, ableism, ageism, homophobia, fatphobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event. Please respect personal boundaries and do not touch others without their consent.
**BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR:**
Please respect the event space, performers, volunteers, and fellow attendees. Keep walkways clear and follow any directions provided by event staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
**BE PATIENT AND KIND:**
The Pride Center of Terre Haute and this event are powered by dedicated volunteers and community members. Everyone is working hard to create a positive experience for attendees. Bullying, harassment, or mistreatment of attendees, volunteers, or staff will not be tolerated.
**HOLD HARMLESS FOR LOSSES:**
Attendees understand that the Pride Center of Terre Haute, Inc. has no control over weather, acts of God, acts of terrorism, government intervention, or any other circumstances that may alter, interrupt, postpone, or cancel Family Fun Story Time with Tara Hoot. Attendees agree to hold the Pride Center of Terre Haute, Inc. harmless for any losses that may arise from such circumstances.
**NO OFFENSIVE MATERIALS:**
Materials, signage, or items deemed offensive or inappropriate by the Pride Center of Terre Haute, Inc. will not be permitted at the event.
**CONDUCT:**
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. Family Fun Story Time with Tara Hoot is a family-friendly event, and children of all ages will be present. Please dress and behave in a manner appropriate for a community event centered on children and families.
