Fall Open Studio: Clay

Open studio is the opportunity for people to utilize our materials and equipment to work on personal projects in our clay studio. Think of it like an independent study in clay! Students will pay a fee of $40 that includes use of the studio for 3 hours, 2 pounds of clay, paint-on glazes and kiln firings. Additional clay can be purchased for $10 per pound before or during open studio hours. The Clay Studio Manager will be present to answer questions and can help with simple projects, so you don’t need much experience to join. if you are looking to use our pottery wheels, we do ask that you have prior experience using that equipment. Other equipment available includes a slab roller, clay extruder, molds, a variety of texture tools and stamps, and more for hand-building projects. If you have a specific project in mind come with sketches or printouts! If you are wanting to use the pottery wheels, please note that we have a limit of 6 wheels. When purchasing your ticket, please be sure to answer yes to the appropriate question when checking out so a space can be prepared for you. Wheels are first come first served. Non-wheel/hand building spaces are limited to 12
