Have you ever wondered about the process of art therapy? How can it be helpful, how can I use it in my own life, or maybe you are just feeling stuck in your life? This class is an art therapy experience that allows for open expression. Open expression will allow for exploration of new art materials as well as investigating your own thoughts and life challenges. As the artist, only you decide how and what you want to express. Participants will be supplied with oil pastels for this workshop. This workshop has a minimum of 5 participants, and a maximum of 10. If the workshop does not meet the minimum, participants will be refunded. This class is for students 16+, but all students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, or a guardian must fill out a release form. About Dr. Millie Dawson-Hardy: Millie Dawson-Hardy, the course facilitator, is a practicing artist in the area as well as being part of the Counseling Education Faculty at the University of Alabama. She has a master's in Art Therapy from Georgia College and State University. She is an LPC practicing counseling and art therapy at Iron City Counseling in Hoover, Alabama.
