This drawing class consists of a series of four classes in January, each building on the last. We will work on exercises and follow the principles outlined in Betty Edwards' book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. This course is designed for beginners. Your registration covers all four sessions. Come explore all this wonderful book has to offer.
We will provide drawing utensils such as pencils and charcoal. We will also provide loose drawing paper, but participants may want to bring their own sketchbook.
This class is limited to participants 18 & up.
This class will be held on Friday's from 11am-12pm
Session A: January 6
Session B: January 13
Session C: January 20
Session D: January 27
There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 14. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.
This class will be located in the newly available Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders!
About Molly Nelko: A native of Mobile, AL, Molly Nelko has joined Kentuck’s staff as our Programming Assistant! She attended Springhill College and received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, OR to Hilton Head SC, and can be found online. Molly currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash. Molly currently works in her studio regularly, but her focus has become more about enjoying creative projects with her children.

This class will be held in Studio 2 in Kentuck's Courtyard of Wonders! Map to 503 Main Ave. Northport, AL 35476 and look for Rusty, the big red dog. Studio 2 is located in the building behind Rusty--look for the double blue doors! There is a parking lot next to this building, and participants are also welcome to park in Downtown Northport.
