Cosplayers on Ice

By registering for or participating in Grizz-Con's Cosplayers on Ice event ("the Event"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. 1. Eligibility * Participants of all skating abilities are welcome. * Participants under 16 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian complete registration and any required waivers. * Grizz-Con reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who does not comply with these terms or venue rules. 2. Assumption of Risk Ice skating is an inherently physical activity that involves risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, equipment failure, and personal injury. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the Event and acknowledge that participation is at your own risk. 3. Liability Waiver Participants agree that Grizz-Con, its officers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, venue partners, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any personal injury, illness, property damage, lost or stolen items, or other damages arising from participation in the Event, except where prohibited by applicable law. Participants are responsible for carrying their own medical insurance. 4. Costume Requirements To ensure the safety of all skaters: * Costumes must allow safe movement and visibility. * Costumes may not drag on the ice. * Large wings, oversized armor, inflatable costumes, stilts, platform footwear, or bulky accessories are prohibited while skating. * Capes, scarves, ribbons, and similar items must be secured so they cannot create a tripping hazard. * Props must be lightweight, non-sharp, and approved by Event staff. * No real weapons or prohibited convention props are permitted on the ice. * Staff may require participants to modify or remove unsafe costume elements before entering the rink. 5. Skating Conduct Participants must: * Follow all instructions from rink staff and Grizz-Con staff. * Skate responsibly and maintain awareness of others. * Avoid reckless skating, horseplay, racing, or dangerous maneuvers. * Respect all participants regardless of skating ability. * Exit the ice immediately if instructed by Event staff. Anyone creating an unsafe environment may be removed without refund. 6. Equipment * Properly fitted ice skates are required. * Participants are encouraged to wear gloves and other protective gear. * Helmets are strongly recommended for beginner skaters. * Grizz-Con is not responsible for improperly fitted rental skates or participant-owned equipment. 7. Photography & Video The Event may be photographed or recorded. By participating, you grant Grizz-Con permission to use photographs and video containing your likeness for promotional, marketing, social media, livestream, or archival purposes without additional compensation. 8. Respectful Conduct Grizz-Con maintains a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free environment. Participants must follow the Grizz-Con Code of Conduct at all times. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior will result in removal from the Event. 9. Personal Property Participants are responsible for their costumes, props, electronics, and other personal belongings. Grizz-Con and the venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. 10. Event Changes Grizz-Con reserves the right to: * Modify the event schedule. * Change activities. * Limit attendance. * Delay, suspend, or cancel the Event due to weather, venue issues, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond its control. 11. Refund Policy Unless otherwise stated, Event registrations are non-refundable. If Grizz-Con cancels the Event, participants will be notified of any refund or credit options, if applicable. 12. Compliance with Venue Rules Participants must comply with all ice rink policies in addition to these Terms & Conditions. Failure to follow venue rules may result in immediate removal from the rink. 13. Acceptance By registering for or participating in Grizz-Con Cosplayers on Ice, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and any additional waivers required by the venue.
