Artists, vendors & exhibitors applications

WHAT: Local artists are invited to submit original artwork for exhibition and sale at FusionFest 2026. The artwork must have been created within the past three years and should not have been exhibited at FusionFest before.

 

THEME:  Edge of Renaissance: The Art of Becoming

Humanity renews itself through culture, creativity, and connection. Standing at the threshold of a new era, artists are invited to envision the next chapter of our shared human story—a story still being written, shaped by imagination, resilience, and the rich traditions that connect us.

 

Note: Nude, political, violent, or racially discriminatory subjects will not be accepted.

 

DIMENSIONS:

  • Minimum: 11" x 14"

  • Maximum: 30" high x 36" wide

  • Artwork must have finished gallery edges or be framed, and wired, ready for hanging.

  • Sculptures: Maximum 3 feet high

This call invites artists to express the uniqueness of their heritage. What are the celebrations, colors, and textures that reflect your cultural background? Artists can submit up to three pieces, and those most aligned with the theme will be selected for the FusionFest Annual Exhibition. Judges will score based on:

 

  1. Skill

  2. Creativity

  3. Theme

Please note that artwork not meeting the submission requirements will not be selected.

 

SALES:

  • All submitted artwork must be for sale.

  • FusionFest takes a 40% commission, and artists receive 60% of the sale.

PRIZES:

  • Grand Prize: $1,000

  • 2nd Place: $500

  • 3rd Place: $250

  • Audience Choice Award: $200

SELECTED ARTISTS WILL RECEIVE:

  • Display space to hang their selected artwork for sale.

  • Promotion on social media and in email newsletters.

  • Opportunity to display additional work in other local venues during the festival and beyond.

Whether it’s the rhythmic beats of African drums, the melodic strains of the Chinese pipa, the iconic Scottish bagpipes, the soulful notes of American blues guitar, the enchanting Indian sitar, the lively French accordion, or the festive tones of Mexican pan flutes, we want to celebrate your unique sound.

Important Dates to Remember
July 4, 2026 – Performer applications open.

 

September 15, 2026 (11:00 p.m.) – Application deadline. The application portal will close, and late submissions will not be accepted.

 

September 30, 2026 – Curatorial review is completed, and selected music and dance performers will be notified via email.

 

October 10, 2026 – Deadline for all required performer paperwork and documentation.

 

By October 15, 2026 – Performance schedules and event details will be distributed to all confirmed performers.

Zoom Meeting will be announced promptly all the initial process is compelted.

Showcase Your Cultural Heritage at FusionFest!

Festival Dates: Thanksgiving weekend at the Loch Haven Park in Orlando.

 

This is your chance to highlight your heritage by displaying items, costumes, and information that represent your culture. FusionFest will provide a table and wall grid for you to showcase your chosen items. You may also want to have a staff member on hand to engage with festival-goers and share your story. Set up on Friday, and load out after 6pm on Sunday.

 

Curators Maria Fernanda Saavedra and Samir Fkiyi will select 20 organizations that represent cultures from around the world to create a dynamic and diverse experience for attendees from Central Florida.

 

What FusionFest Provides:

  • An audience of thousands

  • Social media post with a tag to increase exposure

  • A covered 8x8 space exclusively for your organization

  • Nighttime security for your display

What Participating Organizations Provide:

  • A completed application submitted by November 21st

  • Decorations to creatively display your cultural heritage – whether through a static display that visitors can view or an interactive setup where they can step in, take photos, and engage with the experience

  1. You are required to offer at least one $4 item(food or drink) but may sell up to three $4 items(food or drink).

  4. Vendors are responsible for collecting payments directly from patrons.

Our annual multicultural festival celebrates the vibrant diversity of our community, and we couldn’t do it without the help of amazing volunteers like you. Whether you love greeting guests, assisting artists, supporting behind the scenes, or dancing to global beats—there’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone. Choose from a variety of departments and find the perfect way to get involved, make new friends, and experience the joy of cultural connection. All volunteers will be provided with a festival t-shirt to wear during their shift for easy identification. As a thank-you for your time and energy, you’ll also receive food tokens to enjoy after your shift is complete!

To ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review the following festival guidelines. Respect Our Community FusionFest is built on the spirit of "All For Each Other." We ask all guests to: Treat fellow attendees, performers, artists, vendors, volunteers, and staff with kindness and respect. Celebrate cultural diversity with openness and appreciation. Refrain from harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or disruptive behavior. Such conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the festival. Family-Friendly Environment FusionFest is a family-friendly event designed for guests of all ages. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times. Please help us maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Pet-Friendly Festival Well-behaved pets are welcome. Pets must remain on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Aggressive or disruptive animals may be asked to leave for the safety of guests and other pets. Outside Food & Beverages To support our cultural food vendors and ensure a safe festival environment: Outside food, alcoholic beverages, and all other beverages are not permitted inside the festival grounds. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the diverse selection of international food and non- alcoholic beverages available from our official festival vendors. Festival staff reserve the right to inspect bags upon entry. Unauthorized food or beverages may be refused entry or asked to be discarded before admission. Photography & Media Photography and video recording will take place throughout the festival. By entering the event, guests consent to the use of their image or likeness in photographs, videos, and promotional materials for FusionFest without compensation. Help Keep FusionFest Beautiful Please help us care for our festival grounds by: Using designated trash and recycling containers. Respecting public spaces, cultural exhibits, artwork, and festival installations. Leaving the venue as clean as you found it. Safety & Security The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Follow all instructions from festival staff, volunteers, security personnel, and law enforcement. Report emergencies, lost children, suspicious activity, or safety concerns immediately to the nearest staff member or Information/Volunteer Booth. In the event of an emergency, please follow all public announcements and staff directions. Accessibility FusionFest is committed to providing an inclusive experience for all. Guests requiring assistance or accommodations are encouraged to visit the Information/Volunteer Booth or speak with a festival staff member. Prohibited Items For the safety and enjoyment f all guests, the following items are prohibited: Weapons of any kind Illegal drugs or controlled substances Fireworks, explosives, or open flames Drones without prior written authorization Glass containers Outside food or beverages Unauthorized solicitation or distribution of promotional materials Any item or behavior that may pose a safety risk or disrupt the festival experience Performances & Cultural Exhibits Please be respectful of all performers, artists, exhibitors, and cultural presentations. Do not enter restricted backstage or vendor areas unless authorized. Follow posted instructions when participating in interactive activities or demonstrations. Lost & Found Lost and found services are available at the Information/Volunteer Booth. If you find a lost item, please turn it in to festival staff.
