Honoring Our Past. Shaping Our Future.

The Cincinnati Pride LGBTQ+ Aging Council is a community-driven initiative dedicated to ensuring that older LGBTQ+ adults feel seen, valued, and connected. The council uplifts the voices, stories, and lived experiences of LGBTQ+ elders while building meaningful bridges across generations. Together, we are preserving our shared history, celebrating our legacy, and creating Pride spaces that are welcoming, accessible, and affirming for people of every age and ability.

Our elders are the foundation of the LGBTQ+ movement and the reason Pride exists today. Their courage, resilience, and authenticity continue to inspire new generations. Through this council, we honor their impact, amplify their wisdom, and ensure they remain visible and included in the ongoing story of Pride in Cincinnati.

Our Focus Areas
• Celebrating the stories, voices, and lived experiences of LGBTQ+ elders
• Promoting accessibility, belonging, and inclusion at Pride and beyond
• Building intergenerational connections through mentorship, storytelling, and shared learning
• Honoring those who paved the way while creating opportunities for the next generation to lead

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome LGBTQ+ adults of all ages, allies, and community members who want to help make Pride more inclusive, connected, and accessible. Whether your passion lies in storytelling, community outreach, accessibility, or simply uplifting others, there’s a meaningful role for you on this council.

You Might Be
• An LGBTQ+ elder or advocate interested in sharing your story and experiences
• A community member who wants to help build intergenerational understanding
• A volunteer or partner dedicated to accessibility and inclusive engagement
• An organization or professional who supports aging, wellness, or community inclusion

What to Expect
Council members will meet regularly (virtually or in person) to collaborate on initiatives that strengthen intergenerational connection and accessibility within Pride and the wider LGBTQ+ community. Opportunities may include storytelling projects, community panels, accessibility initiatives, mentoring programs, and inclusive event planning. Participation is volunteer-based, and all members will be supported with any accommodations they may need. We welcome your voice, your lived experience, and your ideas for how we can make Pride more inclusive for every generation.

Join Us
Your story matters and your voice helps build the future of Pride in Cincinnati. Together, we can honor those who came before us, uplift those who stand beside us, and create spaces where everyone feels at home.
