24th Annual Lip Rippin’ Chilympics Chili, live music, local vendors, family fun—and a day on the Grand Strand that gives back. Get ready for one of the area’s most anticipated fall family events! On Sunday, November 15, 2026, the Lip Rippin’ Chilympics returns for its 24th year, bringing together local restaurants, individual cooks, music lovers, families, and community supporters for a flavorful day of competition and celebration. Sample some of the best local chili recipes, vote for your favorite, and help crown the “Best Chili on the Beach 2026.” What to expect: · Live music all day · Local food, art, and craft vendors · Craft beers, signature cocktails, seltzers, and sangria · KidsZone fun for the little chili fans · Chili tastings, crowd voting, and serious bragging rights Think your chili has what it takes? Enter your favorite original recipe for a chance to win more than $2,000 in cash and prizes. Want to be part of the fun? Volunteers are welcome, just sign up in the area that fits you best, bring your energy, and help make Chilympics 24 the best one yet. Parking on site is for Chili Teams only; if you're not competing, please park off premise.

Health & safety

Anyone with food allergies should pay close attention to the ingredients listed by each team, per recipe, including the use of chili peppers. Local EMT's will be on site to assist anyone in need of assistance. Alcohol consumption is restricted to patrons 21 years of age and older. If you plan on drinking, please do so responsibly and arrange a Designated Driver, Uber, Lift, or Taxi. Thank you!

Each year, teams cook over 300 gallons of fresh chili cooked on the spot, right in front of you ... from meat to seafood to vegetarian, Chilympics competitors cook it all.

Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks including setup, guest check-in, vendor support, and keeping the event space clean and organized. You may also assist with crowd flow, ID checks, or chili judging logistics. This is a great opportunity for friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy working with people and being part of a team. Volunteers should be comfortable on their feet and able to lift light items as needed. You'll gain valuable event experience, volunteer hours (if needed), and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Come help us make this a flavorful and memorable day for everyone!
