Health & safety
Your safety and well-being matter. Please review the following before participating: 1. Adult Supervision: Children should be supervised by a parent or guardian during all sessions, especially during cooking demos and movement-based activities. 2. Safe Movement Practices: For yoga, dance, and fitness sessions: Move at your own pace and comfort level. Use a clear, clutter-free space to avoid slips or falls. Wear comfortable clothing and supportive footwear if needed. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. No gold medals for pushing through pain. This is about feeling good, not proving anything. 3. Cooking Safety: During food demonstrations: Adults should handle sharp objects, hot surfaces, and appliances. Keep hands clean and surfaces sanitized. Follow proper food safety practices, including washing produce. Be mindful of cross-contamination 4. Allergies and Dietary Needs: Review all ingredients before preparing recipes. Modify recipes as needed for allergies or sensitivities. The event promotes plant-based foods, but individual needs vary. 5. Emotional Well-being: Some sessions may touch on wellness, mental health, or family experiences: Participate at your comfort level. Take breaks when needed. Parents are encouraged to guide conversations with their children afterward. 6. Online Safety: Do not share personal information in chat or on screen. Use respectful language and behavior at all times. Parents should monitor children’s participation in chats and interactions. 7. Technology Awareness: Ensure devices are placed securely to avoid falls or damage. Keep liquids away from electronics. Mute microphones when not speaking to minimize disruptions. 8. Rest and Hydration: Keep water nearby. Take breaks between sessions. Remember: this is a drop-in event. Come and go as needed. 9. Know Your Limits: Every child and adult is different. Modify or skip any activity that doesn’t feel right for your body or your family.
