Carolina Kitty Con Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a ticket and attending Carolina Kitty Con (“Event”), you (“Attendee”) agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Ticket Purchase and Entry
All tickets are non-refundable except in the event of Event cancellation, subject to the Event’s refund policy.
Tickets are valid only for the dates and times listed on the ticket.
A valid ticket must be presented for entry.
Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be replaced.
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual at its sole discretion.
2. Code of Conduct
All attendees, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, staff, volunteers, and participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and family friendly manner.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Carolina Kitty Con–related interactions, including in-person and online conduct, such as social media, emails, direct messages, and other digital communications, whether occurring before, during, or after the Event.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abuse, threatening behavior, or misconduct of any kind toward attendees, vendors, staff, volunteers, rescue partners, animals, or the public will not be tolerated.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in action at the sole discretion of Carolina Kitty Con, including warnings, removal from the Event without refund, revocation of credentials, bans from future events, or other appropriate action, regardless of when or where the violation occurs.
3. Health and Safety
Attendance at Carolina Kitty Con is voluntary and entirely at the Attendee’s own risk.
Attendees are solely responsible for their personal health, safety, and well-being while attending the Event.
Attendees must comply with all instructions from Event staff, volunteers, venue personnel, and security, as well as all posted rules and signage.
4. Photography and Recording
Photography and recording are permitted in public areas.
Attendees must respect the privacy of others and obtain permission before photographing or recording individuals, especially children, vendors, rescue partners, cosplayers, and animals.
Commercial photography or recording is not permitted without prior approval from Event organizers.
Photography or recording may not obstruct walkways or disrupt Event operations.
5. Costumes, Cosplay, and Props
Costumes and cosplay are welcome but must be appropriate for a family friendly environment.
Props must be safe and non-functional. Real weapons or items that could reasonably be mistaken for weapons are strictly prohibited.
All prop weapons are subject to inspection and must be peace-bonded or approved by Event staff or security.
Oversized or obstructive costumes and props must not interfere with attendee safety or Event operations.
6. Animals
Live animals may be present at the Event as part of approved rescue partners or exhibitors.
Personal pets are not permitted, except for legally defined service animals.
Attendees must follow all instructions related to animal safety and interaction.
Carolina Kitty Con shall not be held liable for any injuries, allergic reactions, or incidents involving animals.
7. Food and Beverage
Food and beverages are available only in designated areas.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless required for medical or infant care needs.
Trash must be disposed of properly in designated receptacles.
8. Prohibited Items
Weapons, illegal substances, hazardous materials, and any items deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate by Event staff or security are strictly prohibited.
Prohibited items may be confiscated without compensation.
9. Liability Waiver and Release
By attending Carolina Kitty Con, Attendees fully, irrevocably, and unconditionally waive, release, and discharge Carolina Kitty Con, its organizers, owners, staff, volunteers, vendors, rescue partners, sponsors, and the venue from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to attendance at the Event.
Carolina Kitty Con shall not be held liable under any circumstances for any incident, injury, illness, allergic reaction, loss, theft, property damage, or death occurring before, during, or after the Event, whether in-person or online.
Attendees assume all risks associated with attendance and are solely responsible for their personal belongings, conduct, and interactions.
10. Event Changes and Cancellations
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to modify schedules, guests, programming, vendors, activities, or Event layout without prior notice.
In the event of Event cancellation, refunds will be issued in accordance with the Event’s refund policy. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable.
11. Media Release
Attendees may be photographed, filmed, or recorded during the Event.
By attending, Attendees grant Carolina Kitty Con the unrestricted, perpetual right to use any images, audio, or video recordings taken at the Event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes without compensation.
12. Amendments
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
