Button Collage

Button collage is a part of a crafting series for older kids! They will have opportunities to put multiple skills, such as measuring and cutting, to the test while learning some new skills for their crafting tool belt. In this session, we will be making a button collage where kids can have an opportunity to learn sewing and elements of design. Younger kids are still welcome, and we will accommodate for them by gluing buttons. Session A of Button Collage will be Wednesday April 13th from 2:00 to 3:00, and Session B of Button Collage will be Wednesday April 27th from 2:00 to 3:00. All supplies are included. This class is open to ages 8 and up. Young kids may need a little help from their parent with some steps. Participants under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult. If you and your child would like to both participate, two tickets must be purchased. There is a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 16. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.  About Molly Nelko: A native of Mobile, AL, Molly Nelko has joined Kentuck’s staff as our Programming Assistant! She attended Springhill College and received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, OR to Hilton Head SC, and can be found online. Molly currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash. Molly currently works in her studio regularly, but her focus has become more about enjoying creative projects with her children.
