Butterfly Book Binding with Mixed Media covers

Interested in learning how to make a book, than look no further. In this workshop you will learn some mixed media techniques as you make the covers for your book. You will use acrylic paints and inks with stamps/stencils, some collage work and pen/pencil. These covers will be used to make a book using the Butterfly binding. This sewing was developed around the 11th century and was originally known as Yamato Toji. This class is for participants 18 and older. All supplies are included. This class will be held in our Georgine Clarke building at 1922 5th Street, Northport, AL 35476. This workshop is sponsored in part by the Alabama State Council of the Arts.
