Have you ever wondered how baskets are made? They are made by someone's hands, never by machine. Come join Jill and Mickey Miller and learn this ancient craft. Participants will use many techniques and will complete 3 and, if possible, 4 baskets. All supplies will be included to complete your baskets. Registration for this class is $100, and an $80 materials fee must be paid directly to the instructors at the start of the first class. This class is for ages 18+. They are demonstrating artists at the Kentuck art Festival every October for the past three years, and their baskets are available at the Kentuck art gallery and shop in downtown Northport Alabama. They do chair caning as well as teach basket weaving. The Millers have current ongoing classes at Kentuck center in Northport and parks and recreation (PARA) in Tuscaloosa Alabama.
