A Walk to Remember Companion Animals

In correlation and recognition of Día de los Muertos de las Mascotas or Day of the Dead for Pets, walk with me and alongside fellow animal lovers in memorial of those precious companions we have lost. This event will involve a 1-1.5 mile walk on an interactive farm to and from a dock on a small lake. There will be time to reflect in nature, release creative energy, and tend to the grieving heart in a safe and supportive environment where you can choose to share memories and conversations regarding animals you love that have passed. We will start at a designated meeting point, disclosed upon registration, and begin with a short introduction ritual. Then, we will walk approximately 0.5 miles to our personal reflection destination breaking off into a time for individual memorial reflections. You can take this time to simply reflect in nature, prayer, meditation, drawing, or writing. (I will provide materials for these activities if you so choose to engage in anything requiring paper or writing/drawing utensils). You will have an opportunity to share anything you created or experienced during this time. Only if you feel inclined to do so ;sharing is not required. Our beloved animals can be honored and cherished privately or within sacred community. After discussion comes to a close, we will walk back to our meeting point together and part ways for the evening with a closing blessing. Parking: Free lot parking at meeting destination Time frame anticipated: 1.5-2 hours No charge for attendance, optional donation for future memorial events and activities. Please bring water, walking shoes, monitor the weather for appropriate attire, and an open heart. Optional- small memorial item in honor of your beloved to hold during reflection. (Collar, small photo, charms, toy, etc)
