Artisans for a Cause is a one-of-a-kind community art market dedicated to bringing together talented artists in support of meaningful charitable causes. The event is once a month from October-April collaborating with a different local charity each month. The event is located at The Park in PV (formally the Paradise Valley Mall) adjacent to Whole Foods and next to Blanco Restaurant. Convenient parking is available nearby. Free event to the public.

Artisans for a Cause is a one-of-a-kind community art market dedicated to bringing together talented artists in support of meaningful charitable causes. The event is once a month from October-April collaborating with a different local charity each month.  The event is located at The Park in PV (formally the Paradise Valley Mall) adjacent to Whole Foods and next to Blanco Restaurant.  

 

Hours of the event are 10am-5pm.  Located in a vibrant, high traffic area, the event naturally draws consistent crowds of locals and visitors alike. The park is surrounded with a variety of restaurants and shopping.

 

Categories:  

Clay/Ceramics Functional or sculptural, original clay or porcelain work.

Digital Art: Original work in which the original image, or manipulation of other source material, was executed by the artist using the computer.  Work must be in editions, signed and numbered.

Drawings: Works created using dry media, including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax crayon, etc., or from the fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush entered in this category.

Fiber: Work crafted from fibers, including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leatherwork, tapestry, and papermaking. This can be wearable or non-wearable. No machine tooling, machine-screened patterns, or other forms of mass production are permitted. No factory-produced wearable items, regardless of additional modification or enhancement by the artist, may be exhibited

Glass: Functional or decorative, kiln-formed or crafted by glass blowing, molding, or casting. Works may be etched or engraved. No forms of mass production or alterations of prefabricated objects, i.e., pressed wine bottles, are permitted. This category excludes jewelry made from glass.

Jewelry: All jewelry, no matter the medium must apply in this category. Original jewelry made from precious and non-precious metals, gemstones, enamel, glass, clay, fiber, etc.  No commercial casts, molds, settings, or production studio work is allowed. No mass-produced beadwork allowed. Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. 

Metal: Sculptural or functional work using metal as its primary medium.

Mixed Media: 2D and 3D work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.

Paintings: Acrylic, oil and watercolors apply to this category.

Photography: Film and digital files used to create photographs from the artist’s original image. Work must be printed by the artist.

Resin: Epoxy resin creations made by combining resin and hardener for purely aesthetic purposes. (resin jewelry-apply under jewelry category)

Wood: Primary material is wood, either functional or decorative. Original carved, hand-tooled or machine-worked wood. Includes wooden furniture.

 

Artists will be ready to sell to public by 9:30am. Event begins at 10:00am  No late arrivals allowed. Artists must be present in their booths throughtout the event. No breaking down before 5:00pm Each artists is responsible for their own sales and applicable taxes. (Phoenix sales tax is 8.6%)  Professional and respectful behavoir is expected at all times.

 

When arrving to park, unload your vehicle quickly, pull up to the curb and cart your tent, weights, displays, etc to your space. There will be volunteers to help you.  Please park at the Costco parking garage nearby.

Terms & Conditions
Artists must have a valid TPT license, a COI with additional insured. White canopies only. 40lb weights per leg. No stakes in the ground permitted. Artists must be present. Display only what you represented in your application Good Neighbor policy. Rain or Shine event. No Refunds. Juried market. Handmade products, no buy/sell. Set up time is 8:00am and tear down is 5:00pm. Do not tear down before 5:00pm. Jury process is closed.
