Parking instructions
Parking for volunteers is in the Jury Parking Lot located at 2050 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901. It is located at the corner of Widman Way and Broadway opposite of the Fort Myers Police Station. Look for the Large green “ArtFest Volunteer Parking” signs and green flags. We ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled shift. The trolley will pick up on the corner of Widman Way and Monroe about every 20 minutes. Volunteer Check-In is located at 2172 Edwards Drive. You can also walk straight down Monroe Street to Edwards Drive. Take a right on Edwards Drive, you will see Welcome Flags and Check-in signs at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center Entrance on Edwards Drive. If you have reached the Luminary Hotel & Co., you have gone too far.

Health & safety
ArtFest Fort Myers is an outdoor festival. Most volunteer positions are located outdoors or inside a professional tent with ventilation. CDC Guidelines recommend anyone who is not fully vaccinated wear a mask indoors. Masks are not required in outdoor settings. Social Distancing is recommended from people who you do not live with. Hand Sanitizer will be available all over the festival.

Art For All presented by Florida Blue is an exciting new area at ArtFest Fort Myers. Large and small works of art will be created over Festival Weekend. Zot Artz has adaptive tools & Devices that turn wheelchairs into huge paint brushes! This activity allows artists of all abilities and ages to stamp, draw, or paint to make their mark at ArtFest. Volunteers will be assisting people throughout this art making process. “Rather than finding ways for people with disabilities to participate in activities for non-disabled people, Zot Artz creates entirely new activities and projects for people with disabilities and invites those without disabilities to join in.” – Dwayne Szot, Founder, Zot Artz Please note there are Volunteer Positions indicated with a *. This large tent houses our high school art competition and exhibit. Open to the public all weekend, this showcase of our talented high school artists. The Art Under 20 Team will monitor entrances and exits and answer visitor questions. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as some volunteers may be stationed outside the tent.

This Festival Artist Support Team, armed with festival maps; helpful information, assists with making sure that our festival artists have everything they need for an enjoyable weekend at ArtFest. Members of this team must be enthusiastic, flexible and able to work well with others. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as some volunteers may be stationed outside.

Booth sitters provide rotating relief to artists who need to take a brief break during festival hours. The booth sitter maintains a welcoming and courteous manner to anyone visiting the booth. Selling of artwork is not permitted. This is great way to talk to visitors, meet artists and get a close up look at some great artwork.
Chalk Block is our sidewalk chalk competition featuring teams of high school students with professional chalk artists as mentors. This great activity needs volunteers to support the Chalk Block Committee. Chalk Block volunteers help to ensure that students are registered, are assigned spaces and have adequate supplies, as they create their art pieces. Please arrive on time, as students will be ready and waiting for you! Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as some volunteers may be stationed outside.

The Site Decor Team of festival 'elves' help to set the mood for an artful weekend. Decorating Sponsor Tents, Art Yard, Merchandise Tent, and other festival areas. All the supplies are in place waiting for you and the Decor Team Leaders to put on tablecloths, put up signs and so on. No worries, there is no setting up tables or chairs or any heavy lifting - another team will already have this completed. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as volunteers will be stationed outside.

Guest Relations volunteers will have a fun-filled shift, meeting, and greeting festival attendees from several locations throughout the festival. People who are friendly, helpful and enjoy interacting with others will enjoy directing people and answering questions. This job requires standing outside with an umbrella for shade. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Festival Merchandise volunteers work with the Merchandise Team Leaders to sell the festival's Poster and T-shirts at the ever-active Merchandise Tent. This friendly, customer service-oriented group have a smiling face and helpful attitude as they assist attendees in selecting Posters and T-shirts. Note: The Team Leaders handles iPad credit card transactions - no need for you to process transactions. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as some volunteers may be stationed outside.

Our VIP Club is the exclusive hangout for festival sponsors and VIP members. Volunteers work with the VIP Team Leaders to make our VIP's feel special. This job requires standing for 5 hours, either inside or outside the building. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as some volunteers will be stationed outside. Assignments vary throughout your shift and may include monitoring entry/exits and/or tidying up tables. VIP volunteers do not receive VIP lunch.

Volunteers in this area will be working with the public, answering questions about this recycling program and encouraging them to vote for their favorite Middle School Recycle Sculpture.
