America 250: Celebrating our Journey

Join us in downtown Lawrenceville for a community-wide gathering marking 250 years of America’s evolving story. This celebration centers on the people, cultures, and experiences that have shaped our nation, honoring the complexity of our past while embracing the shared journeys that connect us today. Taking place across historic and cultural landmarks, including the Hooper-Renwick Library, the Female Seminary, Isaac Adair House, the Gwinnett County Historic Courthouse, the Lawrenceville Arts Center, and the Lawrenceville Lawn, the event features live music, theatre, storytelling, historical interpretations, and hands-on workshops. Showcasing talented artists and performers from across Gwinnett County, the day invites reflection, conversation, and connection. Together, we’ll create space to learn from one another and celebrate the richness of our community After exploring everything the square has to offer, make your way to the Lawn around 6 PM for additional entertainment as the evening comes together. Then, cap the night under the open sky with a special performance by the Lawrenceville Symphony Orchestra beginning at 8 PM.
