About the event
The start of new school year, means new art opportunities for little ones at Kentuck. This September we will be continuing our new Afterschool Art program for kids ages 5-10. Parents can leave your kids in the capable hands of our instructor to play, learn, and make art. Let the kiddos play at Kentuck for an hour and a half while you take care of you. Each session is $20, or sign up for the whole month for $75. This class will be held on Wednesday's from 3-4:30pm Session A: September 7 We will be learning about printmaking techniques such as monotypes and block prints. The kids will also make their own prints. Session B: September 14 We will learn about MC Escher, and we will make a tessellation. Session C: September 21 We will have fun going through magazines and making collages with different themes. Session D: September 28 This session we will talk about Kentuck's upcoming festival and Hallie O'Kelley. We will also design and make a screen-printed tote bag. This class will be located in the newly available Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders! All supplies are included. This class is open to ages 5-10 There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 10. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash.
