About the event
8th annual Heron 5K Trail Run in memory of our dear friend Dave McDonald. Come enjoy food, music, and enter the race for a great cause!
Dave loved to run, he loved The Heron, and he loved music — so we’re honoring his spirit with a full weekend of movement, music, and community connection! This family-friendly weekend includes a FREE 5K trail race, live music on both days, delicious food for purchase, kid-friendly games, and fun activities for all ages.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 – MUSIC & CAMPING KICKOFF! (️ Tickets are required for Saturday music & camping)
Ease into the weekend with a full evening of music, food, and fun on the farm.
Music in the Woods Saturday evening!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 – HERON 5K RACE DAY (FREE!)
The main event! Our 5K trail race is open to all ages and abilities.

-Breakfast & lunch available for purchase
-Kid-friendly games & family-friendly fun for everyone!
-Live music from 11am-5pm
✅ Race Registration is FREE, and donations are welcome.
This year, all proceeds benefit the CENTAUR STRIDE THERAPEUTIC RIDING FACILITY, supporting mental health and addiction recovery through peer-led services!

Parking instructions
Unless otherwise instructed, please park in "Day Parking" when you pull into the driveway. We may have parking available at the top of the hill inside the property as we move closer to the event.
Health & safety
If you're participating in the run, please wear appropriate clothing for the terrain and weather. Please bring a reusable water bottle to refill (potable water spigots available throughout the property).
